Well coached teams with real structures and game plan they can execute always ALWAYS bring us undone. Weagles will get a run on early, ken will revert to dropping a man behind the ball straight after the bounce and we will play our famous chip backwards and across the backline game plan, until finally going long down the line to Sam Gray in a 3 on 1 where McGovern takes the intercept mark and they open us up going the other way.

Not to mention the plethora of quick eagles smalls that will have their way because we have done nothing to change our 1 paced defence (other then throw more players back to defend the space).

I am kind of hoping this is a 100 point demolition to show the board (who are obviously in complete denial) just how far we are off the pace and require actual real change.

My only fear is that West Coast will just do enough, knowing that it's a long season and there is no need to make any sort of statement against a club that is destined to finish 10-14 for the foreseeable future.

Win and it reinforces how faaarked in the head this team is.

Lose and play the way we have been it just reinforces how faarked in the head this team is.

The time to make a statement was last week followed by this week. The only statement we make this week is we are faarked in the head.

Port by eleventy (or not).

This is going to be a nightmare. A team we have some massive mental demons against, on their home deck, a venue where we threw away 2018 against their poorer cousin. A team where our coach makes the same mistakes at selection over and over again, to see the same thing happen over and over......any optimism I had for this game evaporated last night with that tripe we served up. I'm expecting a 10 goal plus hiding.

There is no reason we should win or make a contest of it. We are up against a side that is the opposite of us in every way, shape and form. Here's hoping we pull a rabbit out of the hat, but I'm doubting that will happen.

I'll watch it expecting to be surprised, and support the boys like everyone else, deep down I'm hoping it goes so pear shaped that the board has to act.

I feel like I've been getting smashed on this forum lately for being negative, but for me it wasn't negativity, it was realism and acceptance of where we were. I passed the depression phase late last year, and have spent the preseason mid way through acceptance. I'm now at peak acceptance. Yesterday didn't even hurt, I knew it'd happen from mid 2nd qtr. We're s**t and its obvious.

Can't believe how deluded certain posters have been when talking about us as a flag chance ffs. I'm really not looking forward to the next few months on this board as our people start to exit the denial phase.
I was hopeful and saw signs of us actually putting together a better game plan and a style that would suit the 6-6-6 rules and be a much more competitive team..
The last two weeks have rocked me and I'm heading back to the dark days of 2018, which was the worst year of footy I've seen in my life from ports, that includes all levels of port..

We’ll probably win this. Then we’ll lose against North the following week, because Ports.
If it was played at Subiaco id be slightly more confident, but we have stunk up the new stadium so far, expecting a record margin there to be honest.

Keep Hinkley away from selection, have one of those crisis type weeks we seemed to have under Choco post 2007 ever 3rd or 4th week, senior players *en wake up, we aren't expected to do well and we could pinch this. Then lose against the next week against North when we go in as favourites at home.

We could also get done by 12-15 goals because we shrivel up.

This.

It's going to get ugly. Talk of us winning is fanciful.

The last time we beat a half decent team was Round 14 last year when we fluked a win against Melbourne despite 30 less inside 50s.

There's been no evidence for a long time that we could even go close to winning a game like this.

Unless Adam simpson starts socialising with a pakistani bookmaker this week we aint winning so its all about structure and the right selections. Cmon ken suprise us
Yeah he'll surprise us - Rozee to play for the Magpies, and Sam Gray to captain the Power :).

Marshall Ladhams Hayes Grundy Frampton.
For whatever the reason, the size that these guys have is unavailable to us.

We need a CHB, and Grundy just isnt there at the moment.
We need a CHF, and while Marshall should come back he isnt quite what I want. Billy might be, but the silly knob is suspended.

Ladhams, I am not sure what to do with. He has apparently improved, but positionally he doesnt fit CHB or CHF.

Hayes - injured. I cannot wait to get him back. Maybe CHF, but still so green.

Only real option at the moment for these 2 roles is rearranging what we have.

Previously suggested Ryder to CHB, and Howard to CHF. Dougal to ruck in forward line. Lycett then a kick behind play when ball is forward. Why not try it?

Farrell for Motlop.

Ive got nothing other than this.

I have no interest, so instead, for any West Coast supporters reading this, Andrew Gaff is a piece of s**t and if you were one of the campaigners cheering his every disposal last night while the teenager who he coward punched was running around on the same field then you're a piece of s**t too.

Me waiting for this one....

Sadly, if it does rain, Todd will have a mare and be dropped again ☹️. However, it should mean it's a more tightly contested game, which we can be quite good at.

Just wondering which stand-in opposition forward we've never heard of kicks six in this game, out of a career total of nine.

On that point, how poor is the mental application of this group, I'll mainly say the senior players that every game we are expected to win, they absolutely balls it up. Then when nothing is expected they pull a rabbit out of the hat. It's absolutely infuriating and has never changed for 5 years now. I don't think it will based on the evidence until we hit the full rebuild mould, which I think is a season away, or 2 or 3 games.

Its been an issue since 2007.
I'm ready to call it a generational change.
There are people watching that don't remember football before 2007, let that sink in for a moment, they think this is normal.
