The thing that strikes me more than anything else is that we never stopped swinging at them. There's countless moments you could probably pick out where we would have previously folded and given up the ghost, but we just kept matching and bettering them all game.

Thought the defence was absolutely immense; Cameron thrives on having space and freedom to move and we gave them absolutely nothing to work with. Their goals came through arsey bits of play or brilliant stoppage work in those few moments where our skills did let us down.

I feel like it's taken us ages to balance the defensive, physical aspects of our game with the need to attack, but it's finally clicking.

And I feel like Tabs is on the verge of something monumental if he can get his head right - there's a reason they sent Davis to him straight off the bat.

Massive win that really showed how we're growing as a club - last season that would have been a 10 goal loss.

- If Tabs can fix his yips he could have a special year
- Matera has to stay in the 22. Is good for a goal and has a footy nouce not many players have
- Defence is playing superbly
- That's the Hogan we need
- Liked Switta's game
- If we had a fit Fyfe last week we would have won
- Bang on coaching from Ross. Except for the Gold Coast game there can't be too many complaints.

Can't understate our opponents. GWS are playing well (as they ought). Basically, the team of the last 100 years on talent in the team (talent alone doesn't get it done though) and they own the oval at Canberra, a hard place to get a win.

This win was against the grain of the wood, very few would have picked us. But, we didn't just win, we won well. Good on ya lads!

Me workmate just won $250 bucks and his son pocketed $500. That was seriously ballzy!

That put a bit of a pep in me step.

I was expecting us to get annihilated truth be told but the footy we played was fantastic. I said at 3/4 time that if we stopped the stupid handpasses we would be fine and that is what we did. Sonny was exceptional in the last quarter and I reckon he won the first 5 center clearances. That was the first real glimpse we have had of a cohesive forward line with 2 key big men with Tabs (despite the yips) and Hogan both having very good games. I want to see more of that from Langdon as well. He was a bit sloppy at times but his game was something like we have come to know and love. I am probably Matera's biggest hater but he has been proving me wrong this season. Another good game up forward. Switta was good in the first half but was a bit quiet after half time. He needs to stay in the side.

I love Alex Pearce. If that man stays injury free and is not AA at the end of the season then something is seriously wrong.

At times it was hard to watch mainly with Lynch and Brown droning on like morons in commentary.

Not enough love for Walters here, or the move of him to the midfield.

That’s why I’ve never been in the camp that thinks he should be only fwd - talent like his is wasted only being fwd.

His move there was I think the single biggest factor (there were others) in turning that game.
Still kicked clutch goals
Absolute 🌟

Back in the win column, I can safely listen to all the podcasts and watch all the footy shows this week!

In all seriousness, with the entire top 8 being equal atm, this is going to be really topsy turvy season for everyone including us. These away wins against quality opposition are borderline worth double.
