Bizarre because I saw him lay multiple tackles and wrap the ball up a couple times. Think there is a differing definition of what a tackle is amongst the AFL's own stat recorders.

A tackle in stats has a slightly different definition to what we think.

It is any contact to an opposition player that leads to an ineffective disposal or non disposal (not boundary line, I think).

So - bump a player or brush past them and they fumble the kick = tackle. Wrap someone up but they dribble a handball directly to a teammate = not a tackle.

It can make for some very dodgy 10 tackle games and some others where it feels like a player is everywhere and they get none. Bit of luck with opponent disposals, etc.

Was at the game today, level 2 behind the goals, so had a gopd down the ground view. Daisy's energy and workrate were extraordinary today. More than I've seen from him at Carlton. Not sure if his numbers reflect it (haven't looked yet) but he worked to hard to create an option on the wings, and to get back to help defense. I was really, really pleased to see it. He is more important than he gets credit for.

Kreuzer dominated English today (as expected). Not only at center bounces, but was a constant threat all around the ground.

Phillips and Lobbe are injury depth, that is all. We seriously need to have a plan in place for when Kreuzer hangs up the boots. Grundy would be handy...

Said it before and I’ll say it again, some players got to know their limitations! Refuses to give first option then ends up giving a poor option that puts a team mate under pressure thus causing a turn over.
He’s decision making is dumb. Marchbank poor by foot too many times for my liking too and we can’t have 2 players coming out of defence like that, ones enough thx so for me when the opportunity presents itself Willo in Plow out- it makes us better

That's my hope. I thought Jack played very well today next to McGovern Casboult & McKay. Charlie on a wing or through the middle would be awesome. Can still push forward or play their at different times

Once we have these players all playing well and some game into them individually and as a group we will be very dangerous. Still have TDK & Kerr as well.

McKay just demanded the ball all day and seemed to thrive on it
