I think for me it wasn't so much his score in round 1 that was offputting but rather how he played. He looked awful, but its only 1 week! He is a much better player than that, and Essendon are a much better team than that (and i still dont rate them highly). I can sort of see why people traded him after 1 round given the other options around his price but i think its very easy to be too reactionary early in the season. Its a long season and players as good as Merrett wont stay down for too long. So yeah, good on you for keeping the faith! I never really considered Merrett in the preseason as i sort of have this perception that he is a better DT player but that is probably not warranted. I didnt see the whole game on the weekend but when i was watching jeez Merrett looked good! If he keeps playing like that, and if the Bombers keep playing that well, i can see a fair amount of upside that i honestly didnt think was there.

When I traded out Junkley for Caleb Daniel 3 weeks ago I wasn't sure if I was buying a miniature SP or a team mascot. As it stands, he is both.

I’ve only used 1 trades and was 707 at end of last round. Happy with that.

Loaded up in my forward line which has helped me with rankings as that seems like the area of weakness for other teams.

Got my rookies and mid priced players right in most areas which is making me some serious money.

I think he can. Hasn't got a huge ceiling, but floor is not low. Reminds me of Laird in this role.

Sounds like the perfect F6, won't get suspended for rough play, has nice skills, is a solid role player and is a miniHurn.
JJ hasn't hurt his score either.

To an extent, I nailed picking Grundy and Gawn. Purely because they cost almost 15 percent of the cap.
