Don't know if it's an agenda. I just think some people don't realise how difficult ruck work is. Two huge blokes are jumping up and smashing into each other, disturbing balance and then trying to tap an oval ball to a particular place with a very small margin of error with the hope that their teammate has taken front position at that spot. Particularly at centre bounces, intentional hitouts to advantage require a heap of skill from the ruckman and skill and luck from the receiver, because if the opposition have guessed right, it ain't happening.
