I am unsure of what you are saying, are you meaning "longest serving or longest surviving club ' in the valley. I am not bagging lalor, however they only joined the diamond valley in 1968. A lot of clubs have been around longer.
Without giving this too much oxygen... We have played Laurimar, Reservoir, West and now will face Panton Hill - Fixture hasn't been overly kind to a club that collectively won 3 games in 2018 but that's not an issue at all, better to challenge against the best early days i believe... Three of the four clubs will be fighting out the top slots in my opinion. Its still very early days and every club has improved this year (including Reservoir) which is a healthy state for the comp.
After hearing their very cocky and arrogant supporters through the first quarter it was good to see the game pan out exactly like most expected. 100 points behind west. The old coach of west took his nothing gameplan across to lalor and it really showed, west had injuries aswell so can’t be blaming that. With a very similar list now getting the right coaching west seem to be vying for that top 2 spot come finals time. Can’t wait for the season to play out

I'm not stressing too much about comments from faceless people - Its pretty easy to throw stones from behind a wall, helping build one is a little braver.

I feel the top three are stand outs, fairly even though the rest of the comp but it’s only very early... agree that no game is a walk up start (including Reservior, they battled well) - Depth may play a part in who grabs fourth spot...?!?
Blaming the fixturing is just another excuse. South morang a tough match? who drew with turtles, with Kilmore knocking off turtles and just losing to Morang who lost by a kick to West. Looks like a season of tough matches, how dare the league create such a hard fixture for Lalor! If only it said v Rezza every round then it would be fair??
Agree with your points, not every opinion on here is from a club official as much as we’d like it to be...
I think the problem has occurred in some articles with the coach being quoted as saying Lalor will match it with the better sides and push for 3-4th spot after beating Reservoir. That puts a puts a target on your back. Promotion is critical but doing so in the right way is the difference. Auskick and the junior/primary school affiliation and along with some of the great community work I have noticed pop up is some of the very best stuff I’ve seen. Perhaps the hype up of the on field stuff needs to be toned down and allow the results do the talking.
Must say that blaming the fixture in a league where everybody plays everybody twice, once home and once away is comical and a clutch at straws.
Golledge, Talbot, Rigby, Dean that come to mind. Golledge only long term injury.
Wasn't West a team many on here said wouldn't make top 4? Wouldn't say the fixture wasn't kind if West and Reservoir were included in your first 4 games
