LOL. The same s**t happens at every club. We have 80,000 members and we don't even have 80,000 seats. Geelong have 60,000+ and play most of their games in a stadium that holds a bit over half that.

It's a bullshit pissing contest. And the people that get excited about it are the same people that get excited about a Carlton home game vs Richmond getting a big crowd with a Richmond home game vs Brisbane does not.

You know what Richmond and Richmond fans actually deserve praise for? The crowd in the 2017 prelim. 94,000 vs GWS. Hats off.

Can’t y’all just recognise this achievement for what it is? Getting 100K members for an Australian sporting organisation is a big deal, so that’s a huge achievement to reach this figure again for the second year in a row. Well done!

The only way they'll achieve 75,000 members is if they merge. Same goes for pretty much all clubs. 75k is unrealistic.

But really....75k members?? why not 60? or even 50?

75,000 members and laying off a $4 million debt would be staggering.

Are we sure the 75k was meant as the number of memberships sold in the final year, or if they just meant that over the 5 years they will sign up 75,000 different people as members at least once.

I would cringe if Eugene Arocca proposed such ridiculously unrealistic goals.

It's great to have these big audacious goals, but come on, 75,000 members, that's going to take some doing.

Even for a club with a strong passionate supporter base like the Tigers, 75,000 members seems extremely optimistic.

If you tear your membership in half, does that count as two ?? If so 75K is very doable.

About 25,000 I reckon. Those were all three game memberships that had been used. But it's ok because we've all bought another three game membership to use by the bye, and then two more each for the back half of the season. Really doubt if we have more than a 1000 season ticket holders.

All clubs try for some membership angle, the Pies when Holden sponsored them a few years back was a classic. For every new Ute purchased a Collingwood membership was included. Imagine all the Bommbers, Dogs, Saints supporters out there who were all of a sudden Collingwood members. Lol.
