Grien Myers looks like a winner

Nowhere near the key criterion to be met for the Kerridge. Gryan Miers is a 7-gamer who has been good to excellent in each of his 7 games. This is the antithesis of the typical Kerridge candidate.

Just a re-cap, readers: this award is for spuds who aren't AFL level except for those rare and glorious occasions where they pull out a game for the ages, and that game is against us.

Jordan Murdoch used to be Geelong's best candidate, but he's gone. So it's probably back to Rhys Stanley or Gary Rohan, though it's arguable that neither of those meet the strict Kerridge test based on their seasons to date.

I'll go for O'Connor if he gets a game, as he's more spudly than most of the other Irish boys running around and he's never torn a game apart.

Cam McCarthy’s five-goal haul in Fremantle’s season opener seems like a lifetime ago, with the forward dropped by the Dockers for Sunday’s clash with Richmond.
McCarthy starred in Fremantle’s Round 1 demolition of North Melbourne, booting a handful of goals to go with 20 disposals and five marks.

But he’s managed just five majors in as many matches since, including going goalless in the Dockers’ past two games.

Fremantle has axed forward Cam McCarthy for Sunday's final match against Richmond at Optus Stadium after a gradual decline in output since his season-opening five-goal haul.
McCarthy, who missed round five with illness, has kicked just one behind in the past two games and is replaced by emerging swingman Brennan Cox, with ruckman Sean Darcy overlooked again.

He’s a Kerridge Hall of famer

Classic.

Hopefully this will survive the new T&C's.

So no Sam Kerridge, but a win nonetheless.

So this weeks winner is Jack Silvagni, helped along by the nepotism 1.25 multiplier and the fact he racked up 8 tackles and 2 goals.
Note: Tackles and goals attract big points here in the Kerridge thread.

Congrats to the Carlton week winners - FG, Snake, LTK and Wild Kangaroo

Also congrats to Wels Eicke, but for picking up the spud who performed like an actual spud!

In other news - Ryan Nyhuis is still competing at a reasonable level and in the seniors and somehow Cam McCarthy was getting games until he was dropped for this weekeneds round and about bloody time. Worthy Kerridge winner right there!

Meanwhile at an election polling booth somewhere....

And people will still claim that JMac had a good game. The prostitution rests.

I'd like to nominate Sam Menegola, if admissible. I prefer to call him by his Native American name "Runs in Quicksand". If he & Jack run (ie: tread) on or off the ground at the same moment, time will stand still.

If Spudegola is inadmissible, I'll go Tom 'Graeme' Atkins.
