My biggest concern is a merger between the Pentacostals and the Muslims.

Sections of the Gold Coast will become no go zones.

Merger?

Come on.

We know one half of that duo has no desire to play with others.

Out of curiosity, would you be OK with a Muslim player being sacked for posting some **** from the Quran declaring Homosexuals should be stoned to death?
There’s a difference Mal. One is threatening violence. The other is stating his beliefs which don’t threaten anyone in this world. Since not many in here believe in heaven and hell, what Folau said should be meaningless.
It won’t make a lick of difference what RA decide because Folau will ultimately be paid out. There wasn’t anything in his contract prohibiting what he said. I wonder how busy has the offices of RA been since Folau’s comments. Everyone would have had to sign something in that respect since Folau opened his gob. Sorry, posted his beliefs online.

Why should he be allowed to voice his opinions if they are hateful?
Was it hateful? Secondly, hate speech should never be a crime unless the hate speech contains a physical threat or deliberately incites others to physically threaten or hurt other/s. Everyone has the right to call someone out on hate speech or what Folau said.

That's the big question. If it is deemed hateful then where is the source of the hate coming from? Should that hate be allowed to be published?

As evidenced by this thread and mainstream media coverage of his tweet, it can hardly be said that he has been prevented from stating his beliefs. In fact, over-exposed would be more accurate.

Folau has shown himself to be the odious pustule he is. The worst outcome/form of punishment he can wish upon someone is that they go to 'hell'. Within his preferred version of delusion, this is the worst place not on earth.

I couldn't give a toss whether or not he continues as a rugger bugger. If he cared, he should have kept his imbecility more of a secret. Because he's an imbecile, this wasn't an option. He deserves this outcome for being stupid (and a rampant fantasist). What happens to him in this world should be of no concern to him. He is deliberately not part of it.

Edit: That a former Hawthorn and Preston premiership coach is able to rise to the post of C.E.O. of Queensland and Northern Territory Air Services speaks volumes about the difference in intelligence required to play the two codes of footy. I love the Irish accent he is affecting too. Folau would never be capable of such linguistic gymnastics.

Twiggy is going to save his career, Izzy can go and play for the Pyongyang Zebras in front of seven people in that ridiculous competition of his and ponder whether a little discretion might not have been a good thing.

Christ, is that circus still going?

This is all about money and RA don't want to lose Qantas as a sponsor, which they could if they don't unload the Judas Folau.
I would hope that no AFL players wouldn't put any stupid, racist, sexist or homophobic remarks into the public domain with the risk that the game could lose sponsors because as we know a lot players are not known for their intellect

Apparently there is a Liberal Party minister Gupal Singh who has had a few homophobic comments come to light recently, yet is still being endorsed by The Liberal Party... probably because if they asked him to retire or sacked him, they would have to do the same for a lot of other Liberal Party members.

Our leaders created and engineered this, in a secular country, for the benefit of a few key stakeholders. Now the same people should come forward and take responsibility and accountability for their actions (like they're paid to do). They cannot engineer people to think this way and then dump them when there is no political benefit.

Apparently what Scott Morrison said in April this year
Prime Minister Scott Morrison says rugby player Israel Folau’s latest social media attack on homosexuals was “terribly insensitive.”

Apparently what Scott Morrison said in April last year
The federal treasurer, Scott Morrison, has backed Wallabies star Israel Folau’s “strong character” in standing up for his religious belief that gay people will go to hell unless they repent their sins.

Cricket forgives cheats like Smith and Warner and they return but Israel won't be forgiven.
What is worse??

It seems (I am not too keen on sifting through Folau's social media history) every year Israel reminds the world what his thoughts on gay people are. I wonder what would happen if we did the same thing for people like Scott Morrison and Tony Abbott?

And whilst I’m not a fan of the man or his style of politics, this is why people gravitate toward the Fraser Anning’s of this world.

For better or worse, you know where they stand. Unlike the rest of these bastards.
