A bit old now, but I've thoroughly been enjoying the rabid Crowbots foaming all over this statement from Terry Wallace. He's copped a hiding.

Not injuries that are the problem.
If we were well coached.
Don't those guys play for Ports? With Jonas set to miss this week as far as I'm concerned, I question whether or not Bonner comes back in or if we try our luck with Mayes in the absence of Burton.

They are a problem whether people like to admit it or not.
8 of your best out hurts any side.
A didn’t say not a problem, not the problem.
Richmond had more then we did and beat us.
Trying to blame our losses is nothing more then a cop out. We should have won all bar the Collingwood game, and that also wasn’t in injuries. They didn’t show up for the first quarter and lost as a result.
Even with our injuries we should be 7-1, and with our next 3 games we could be in a position going into the bye 10-1 with Dixon, Gray, Hartlett, Ebo, Wines and possibly Watts to come back in.
We could (should) be in poll position for the top 2 but as a result of the senior coach, nothing else. We will be fighting for the bottom half of the 8.
“Injuries” are just another excuse Hinkley (and the administration) will roll out as an excuse for another year of underachieving.
Ok then, please explain why in 2017 with probably a better list and a league low in terms of "best 22" out with injury, that Port could only manage a 14-8 record and a first round finals exit? You massively overrate our list if you think we could be 7-1 without Dixon, Hartlett, Watts, Jonas, Gray, Ebert and Wines at various times of the year. Dixon and Jonas are key position players, Watts changes our delivery from defence to the forward line, Wines when in form and not carrying injuries plays like he did against West Coast, and Ebert is a strong mark that requires a decent defender. Not to mention the knock on effect that playing these players has on the team - everyone moves down a rung. Dixon allows Westhoff to play the free roam and puts Marshall down to the third tall, Jonas enables Lienert to push up to the wing like Watts did, Gray gives us another option to throw into the midfield at stoppages etc. Now we are missing Burton, that makes it even worse.
It's the role that the injured players play in the team that is the issue, rather than the amount of players that our injured.

I'll give you the answer - Ken Hinkley.
Don’t blame them, pick 15 & 19 for pick 1! Ka Ching!!https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/af...y/news-story/edf8143acde9e499cffcdf7a1b1b5289
I can see all the orgasmic Crows supporters grinning at the sight of this.

I wasn't revising history, merely stating that even with a full list, Port have failed to achieve under Hinkley.I actually thought it was Dixons 3goals 6 behinds and Polecs too high tackle on Shuey but your quite free to change your version of history.

Are you going to add in the currently injured players? The players that hadnt quite bottomed out yet before trade? Or allow for the older guys largely being in their prime? Our list wasn't better in 2017. You can forget Lycett, Drew, Butters, Duursma, Rozee, Burton, Watts, Rockliff and Motlop for starters. Howard, Marshall and Powell-Pepper were either rookies or coming back from injury.
