So if we accept

Beams for Elliott

And the likelihood that De Goey doesn’t play (but named tonight) who gets the emergency spot for him?

That is the question.

I can see the 4 named emergencies are going to be of great fascination.

(All the possible candidates for emergencies:

Wells, Goldsack, Aish, Varcoe, Daicos, Quaynor, Sier, Crocker.

From there four will be named with one jumping in for De Goey.)

Reckon Daicos will be his emergency.

Out De Goey
In Big Charlie

If JDG is not 100%, leave him out and give him a chance to recover. We should have enough depth forward - Stevo, Reid, WHE, JT, Mihocek, Varcoe (if selected) and even Brown to cover and the midfield should be strengthened by Beams returning. I know he will be a big out, but it is a long season and we need him cherry ripe around the end of the season. Let's not take any chances.

Give some other players the opportunity to stake a claim and/or get some game time into them. Players like Wills, IQ, Sier, Crock (??)

No Cox means Reid gets another week.

Mayne stays in.

De Goey stays in. Play him forward for most of the game (Beams can cover mid) to rest his leg.

Beams for Wills

Varcoe to replace Elliot.

Aish could come in, but for who?
Is it worth unleashing Quaynor instead of Aish?

Varcoe will be in for Elliott so he can be given every chance to hold his spot for indigenous round against Sydney next week.

I'm all for players having to earn their spot but it wouldn't seem right if he wasn't playing considering the jumper was inspired by his sister.
Sir Doug Nicholls is Round 10/11 I think.

So we can safely say Elliott and DeGoey are out. Beamer and maybe Adams in. If Adams isnt picked this week, l would have Beams and Wells as my in's.
Like your thoughts but Adams is not remotely ready sorry.

For me its

In Beams, Aish, Sier and Wells/Varcoe

Out Elliot, DeGoey, Wills and Greenwood.

If Mayne also out then Quanyor with Aish to wing
