Close, but Fisher is a starter over Thomas. Dow is also a starter. And Williamson with a full pre-season is a better player than Kennedy, would probably argue that Silvagni is better than Kennedy too. Plowman is also a better player than Newman. Simpson is a candidate for retirement.

Loving that injury list.

Cripps is very good, he's a different player to Judd, Judd was an inside/outside mid while Cripps is nearly pure inside. Cripps is a better accumulator and extractor while Judd was better on the outside and around goals. Judd a better line breaker, Cripps a better ball winner.

Just on Cripps, he really glosses over just how bad we really are, to have the potential brownlow medalist and one of the all time best clearance players in your side and be 1-7 really says a lot. Would hate to see what would happen if he wasn't playing.

We're desperate for a strong bodied inside player who can break the lines. Similar to Judd, wouldn't he and Cripps have made a good paring...

Sure we have a lot of young players with potential but unfortunately potential doesn't win you games and if players don't meet that potential then things don't come good. What our team needs is that extra quality midfielder to come in to put pressure on our other mids and to push some of the lighter framed players to the outside more.

Unlikely to make 8 next year. That is a massive jump for a list that will still be very young. Can't rush experience. 2021 for me.

IMO O'Brien Williamson TDK are definites possibly Macreadie Goddard Gibbons Silvagni Plowman. Murphy Thomas Simpson & Pickett are long shots

During this time we will also bring in another 10-16 players so hard to tell plus 1 or 2 of our real young players will step up.

Plus Bolton will be coaching them ;)

Judd vs Cripps makes no cents. It like comparing apples and air planes. Cripps is a freak there in no one who has play the like him. Like Kouta in his day, there was no one like him but there have been carbon copies since. Cripps is a new breed of footballer. If we want Judd vs someone it should be Dow has the potential to be as good as Judd. But Cripps is in a category of his own.

I believe we are going to add a very talented "young" player in the mid season draft.

Then the focus will be on quality trades in October.

Is that a clue soapy?

There's a player from East Perth by the name of Matthew Young who has nominated for the mid season draft

Or recruit a small forward that rhymes with Polson

Don’t know whether it is just the photo being out of whack....Pickett looks a bit puffy in that photo...more so than I’ve ever seen him before. It would be difficult to keep the weight off given he can’t run. It’s been nearly 5 months since he ruptured his patella tendon. Apparently 3 months to return to normal activities and 4-6 months to return to sports. May need to be careful with what and how much he eats. Good luck to him.
I had partial tear hurt to row and cycle, walking down steep hills and stairs hurt. Combined with hating to swim for fitness. It's tough to not become a lard arse. Yes, I got fatter!
The club has an underwater treadmill, as well as an AlterG treadmill. He's officially out of excuses if he doesn't rock up to pre-season in the shape of his life.

Fair enough...how much would AR get involved in making sure he does the min required rehab/training? Or do they give him a program and leave it up to him to do the right thing?

I think Pickett will get delisted and invited back to train for a rookie spot. If he turns up to preseason underdone, no way will we select him

It's up to him now

The welcome mat has been pulled halfway back under the door I would assume.
