Just sitting down to watch Pappagallo in Mad Max 2. Not a good as you were in Homicide old boy.

I have no idea what you’re referring to but weirdly enough I once worked with a guy who wrote to George Miller asking to be a chit kicker on the set of Mad Max 2 (fan of the original and just wanted to be apart of it) and he ended up in the movie instead.

Edit: I get it now lol. I’ve seen the movie too and completely forgot about it.

Pappagallo is the character played by a Mike Preston in Mad Max 2 (I assumed that is where you got your username from). Mike Preston also played a cop in the tv series Homicide.

Yeah I looked it up. I’ve seen it once before (trying to spot old mate from work haha) and do remember it now, but it’s not the source of my username.

I haven’t got any mates so I stood on a bar stool and held my phone up and shouted “I’m grooming a 12 year old called Dylan on the internet”

Yeah fun times.

I said the same thing to my wife when I heard the news.

I read garibaldis Post and for some reason thought he has quoting Dingle and loled.

I can't remember if this baby has ever shut her eyes in the PM hours, and I'm not 100% on the AM either.

Speaking of film, the movie I've been asked to help out on is a Disney production. This is it. This is my chance. This will begin to set things right. If I make the right moves I just might end up making my way to Lucasfilm.

It’s sad when the most glowing endorsement of a person is doing something that if they did it would just mean they are a s**t bloke.

For mine, not copping racism at any level just makes you a decent human being.

In the 80s things were a bit different, which is why it was important.

That’s like saying things were a bit different down South in 1950s USA. Just because there was a prevailing attitude of racism doesn’t excuse the behaviour or make it something to be celebrated when someone isn’t racist.

There's a difference between simply not being racist and calling it out/ actively fighting against it especially when it goes against the prevailing attitude.

of course it does.

slavery is also bad and no one should have slaves. does that mean the abolition of slavery was not a big deal worth celebrating because it was bad to begin with and no one should have done it?

I don’t ever remember Hawke being the Australian equivalent of Martin Luther King, though. Would anyone describe him as an advocate for civil rights? If he calls it out privately or wages their own war against it, that’s commendable but it shouldn’t be seen as the most impressive thing about a person who has held public office.

of course it does.

But Hawke did nothing of substance that anyone can point to to say he was a catalyst for social reform. The most anyone could say was that he looked into a treaty between the government and native Australians.

It’s just an extremely odd thing to say about a person who has held public office as the most impressive thing about them. You can bet when Abraham Lincoln died people weren’t saying the most impressive thing about him was that he didn’t cop racism - and he did abolish slavery.

It also feels a little strange to me, like almost overplaying something that didn't even really need to be said.

If you think the most impressive thing about one person is that they didn't cop racism, what does that say about the other people around you?
What does it say about you?

Don't just accept it as there is plenty of things that Doctors can do.

Get yourself to a sleep specialist. They tour regional areas so you may have to wait or you can take yourself to Adelaide. There are stay in treatments or even medication.

Deprivation of sleep is a form of torture and will adversely impact on your health long term and the happiness of your family. Don't accept the bullshit advice of old people that some babies don't sleep. I put up with it and i was a zombie for 3 years. I just accepted that was being a parent - it's not. You and your partner deserve sleep and it is not good for your baby not to get enough quality sleep.
