I'm struggling to see the big difference between Jys output at VFL level compared to LDU's.

Jy spent what, a week down there?
Jy's first game was 27 touches and 2 goals.
LDU's was 16 touches, second game 23 touches, 5 tackles. Not exactly dominating like Jy did. I'd prefer him in the team though, driving a Ferrari through the mud atm.

Great.

LDU’s first 4 weeks at AFL level were far superior to Jy’s.

That side would be close to the oldest in the league this week.

True, but i see Jack as a short term fix. its not adding polish to our game like LDU & Ahern will in the future.
I reckon Jed has less of an influence when Jack is in the middle because they both attack the man.
I guess while finals are still an option we will stick with whats working now.

"In the future" being the operative context.

******* LOL at being 2-6 yet fielding one of the oldest teams in the league and three of our best young mids playing twos.

IRT to our medium- and long-term future this is downright negligent atm.

You really give this oldest team routine a going over
Cld you maybe Think About it!

We are 2-6
Plenty of chances to sneak into the 8 with the way the game is
We want our best team on the park now

You would think that the fact that the teams output significantly improved once a few youngsters were relegated would also be considered by any rational person.
