Player Watch #29: Shai Bolton - What an absolute jet!

Or an embarrassment of opportunities? Given Collingwood unearthed some good kids during their injury journey over the past two years, you have to wonder whether opportunities leads to riches or whether some gems never quite get found. You just have to wonder........................
Very true...and very sad if that's the case!

Makes their play for Tim Kelly all the more important to be pushed over the line;)
Oh I hope they get the Tim Kelly deal over the line. It’d make me sleep easier, that’s just a little bit more cap space they don’t have to lure a gun kid back home.

Exactamundo!

no short memories please
Guess everyone forgot Daniel’s absolute blinder against GWS in the 2017 preliminary final.

Anyway I wish people wouldn’t compare the two. They’re two different players that offer different things.

They can play in the same team and we’d be better for it.

Hopefully West Coast don’t start making moves for him. That is literally the only WA club I’d be afraid of coming for him.

They have money, they have good sponsorship deals and they have a huge supporter base. Star players get looked after with them and Bolton is going to be a star.
They don’t have a lot of tpp space with Tim Kelly in their sights

They also wont have a lot left to trade for him unless they offload some decent players.

Wonderful display of talent by Shai last week and to kick 4 snags!
Never thought he had it in him watching his early games...first Q speccie specialist and then nadda from him in physicality and the rest of the game!
Building nicely into a formidable super evasive forward?!? mid?!?...credit to all the coaching staff and Shai's efforts!
EBetts/CRioli mark 2 in the making here...
All this talk about Shai leaving for WC...his manager...one season sign up...makes me a tad nervous about his Tiger future!

I think he just slipped into the unavailable for trade category. We all have seen flashes of what he can do but on Saturday he brought it all.

I was always hopeful we would be able to hold him. With Shai, Daniel, Sydney and Shane Edwards its like having 4 magicians. All these guys do things that leave you shaking your head in disbelief. Hawthorn had one Cyril, Adelaide have one Eddie. We get to watch the magic occuring all over the ground.

A silver lining to a taxing period with injuries for the club is the opportunity to see Shai and Sydney grow. We have an embarrassment of riches.
And we will spoon crack the egg,, then it's 5 magicians
And if we draft picket in the mid season draft
Then 6 magicians

Walked off late with the doc with what looked a hammy concern. This is coming from a PRE training report. Could be nothing but at least we have Rioli coming back.

just read it, hopefully nothing serious
