> ball too slippery after quarter time.
> several different balls in use throughout any game.

> Eagle supporter

Ball gets wet right away. The reason its after quarter time is because its reaching 7:00 and cooler weather/night has hit. Second it hits that time of the day the ball soaps up right away like it would if it was raining

Its strange all the noise about Optus seems to be coming from the Eagles, and not Freo.
Salt?

The only crying is coming from the eagles about a ground they share with Freo

Haven’t seen Freo share the same concerns
WC also train here as well- which freo don’t for the most part; which has added into the problem. I don’t think we are training there anymore, but that’s really not the point.

We’ve had a ridiculous amount of lower leg injuries. A couple you could understand as bad luck, perhaps, but it’s beyond that now. Plus, we’ve been complaining since it opened- this isn’t a coach trying to deflect attention away from his own performance with something all of a sudden.

not sure why freo supporters are so chirpy

its a genuine issue..Freo may as well whinge about it, they whinge about everything else

Lyon is the biggest excuse merchant in the league

It was built on a swamp just metres from the river. These potential issues were well known when they selected the site. A lot of time and money went into compaction and drainage, building on such sites can be a tricky balancing act, hopefully they can work it out.
Isn't there staff parking under the turf itself? I think that might be a huge reason why the turf is as hard as it is.

There may be some under the grandstand but not the playing surface.

They had to raise and compress the ground level quite a bit with heaps of fill. They couldn't really then go and dig back into it again too much other than for foundation posts.

WA has messed up so many recent developments. The Barnett obsession with building monuments to his greatness has resulted in a plethora of second class facilities that will need to corrected over the next decade due to the already committed funds. This is just another example of this.

Ground was a disgrace today. People slipping over every minute. 3 concussions from head hitting turf. 2 leg injuries that were played through too. I'd suspect Melbourne wouldn't be too happy either

Fixed? lol docklands is still a joke of a surface, the players hate it

Having walked on the G and Marvel, the difference in quality is stark.

Strange comment - the stadium has won international awards. Universally agreed as the best stadium in Australia, surface issues aside. This development wasnt 'messed up'.

Name them then?
I'm assuming you know what "Plethora" means...
