who cares. Its the AFL - he should have used his elbow.
The pathetic excuse (coach of meltank) that the dumb meltank player didnt hear the play on call is in stark contract to Lewis who was listening and aware. it was panic by the tanker that led to the situation after players stopped because they observed an obvious free that the umpires missed again.

Deserved suspension. Pinned his arms and caused him to hit his head and concuss him.

Cop the week, move on.

Totally disagree. He was standing there motionless and the umpire did nothing and then turned him into the ground.

The campaigner was playing five minutes later.

I am glad the match tribunal ignored the fore arm to Yeo’s head. It is a joke.

Once you pin the arms the onus is on you to ensure he doesn’t hit his head. Jets didn’t do that.

There were two previous free kicks missed that were so obvious everyone stopped. Incident should have ended there. But Jetta is forced to tackle in that weird pregnant pause and even so the umpires paid a free kick from 1m away. Meanwhile two brownlow contenders inflicting flying elboe's with nothing to answer for??

I'd challenge it. Nothing lost, but it shows we back our players.

Any half decent counsel could mount a convincing argument. There are a plethora of vitiating factors here. It was one motion, Jetta could not have foreseen Tim Smith going limp, the force applied was minimal.

And of course the most important factor of all, weight differential. Jetta is 80 kg, it was irresponsible of Tim Smith to fall over. At 93 kg, there is a very real possibility that Smith could have rotated 180 degrees and landed on top of Jetta.

Very very lucky there Smithy.

Totally disagree. They kept on replaying it and then again on the after shows.

Because it was an incident that was always going to face MRO scrutiny due to the fact that Jetta made the guy slam his head.

Take your tin foil hat off and open both eyes.

Smith is a big unit and he just flopped and let jetta take him to the ground without any resistances.
He could have easily just stood up in the tackle .

Also how is it medium impact if he came back on ?

From the afl site
'The incident was classified as careless conduct with medium impact and high contact and caused Smith to sit out the remainder of the contest.'

I wonder if Christian knows this or just read the afl article

Have you ever seen someone suspended for an act which won them a free? Umpire is right there and says it was fair. Should be called as a witness.

I forgot that every single decision an umpire makes is correct and sacrosanct.

The umpire made the wrong decision. Should’ve been a free kick against Jetta for a dangerous tackle.

Noise of affirmation from the Vic media against a "no name" definately contributes imo. As does the Melbourne coach saying his player was concussed .....despite the prick playing him 5 minutes later for the rest of the game.
