Having him as a one out key forward in both levels with the forward set up and delivery we employ at both levels is the horror worst case scenario of how to develop him.

He’s the best kf prospect his age in the afl and we will be lucky if port don’t flush his career down the toilet.

Very true, I'm taking an overall look at things based on the weekends performance, not today.

Yesterday was a mix of getting absolutely and utterly stomped in the coaches department (which ken is probably top 2 in the AFL for getting out coached) and the players recording a divvy 6 c grade 6 goals 13

The amount of times in the first half It was kicked high to him and he drew 5 defenders to commit in the air.

He lead for the ball and it was kicked 10m over his head. Repeatedly.



Marshall needs to be better but let’s be clear here, what we’re asking for him to do is superhuman.

No amount of imaginary “demanding” of the ball makes any of his teammates not miss him by a country mile,
Or makes 5 Glenelg defenders decide that they won’t peel off their small ‘no chance of influencing this contest’ opponents to attack Marshall in the air.

Hard to play players we have not got. Lycett, Burton, Wines, Ebert and maybe Dixon should return over the next month and with a bit of luck that will strengthen the Power and the Magpies.

No one likes excuses but Glenelg are top of the SANFL and we played them at home with at least half a dozen holes to fill at AFL level plus Hayes and McKenzie unavailable.
