Carlton hurting the competition
Cuts have gone too deep
Put kids through too much
Blames SOS and plan
Shouldn't have traded Gibbs
Wasting Cripps career
Can't see Bolton surviving this year
There will be board upheaval
List Management to go
Stocker trade a crazy decision.
Its the 4th year and a disaster
Comparisons with Brisbane of last year are wrong
Bickley disagreed

She seriously said this crap. SOS got to her
Has become a vindictive old h..........
Seems its personal yep. And very poorly informed.

That's her job, hype up a story. She'll do the same to anyone on the bottom after a thrashing (except Richmond).

I've met her a few times and she's really good value.

All of this could turn out to be true ... not even that crazy to think it will

Talk about Hyperbole!

Carlton hurting the competition - BS! record number of memberships and people still rocking up to games.

Cuts have gone too deep - Had to be done and we wont know for another year or 2.

Put kids through too much - Ill give her this one....possibly

Blames SOS and plan - Cant tell just yet

Shouldn't have traded Gibbs - Gibbs wanted to go, we extracted another year out of him and Adelaide paid overs. so statement here is just wrong.

Wasting Cripps career - This is just disrespectful

Can't see Bolton surviving this year - She is now just pushing an agenda

There will be board upheaval - All signs for the board indicate a united one. Again pushing her agenda

List Management to go - should put her feelings for SOS aside. Again we cant tell for another year or 2.

Stocker trade a crazy decision. - Is she serious! there is so many things at play on this. requires another 2 years to determine.

Its the 4th year and a disaster - 2 games have been disastrous. Also a second more for the hawks game and a second less for the GC game and we wont be having a totally different conversation.

Comparisons with Brisbane of last year are wrong - Wrong how, wanna explain or just through out a statement with no backing caro.

Bickley disagreed - So does Bluebag13

Carlton coach Brendon Bolton has denied that the coaching staff were ‘kicked out’ of a review meeting earlier this week, saying co-captains Patrick Cripps and Sam Docherty ran a players-only meeting following Sunday’s capitulation to Greater Western Sydney.

Speaking ahead of Carlton’s clash with St Kilda at Marvel Stadium on Sunday, Bolton said he was proud of the honesty session run by Cripps and Docherty, where the players delivered feedback player by player as they look to take ownership for another dismal effort.
“It wasn’t that we were kicked out, it was more that they created an opportunity to have some strong conversations with each other. I’m proud of the way we went about,” Bolton told reporters at a press conference on Friday.

Stocker is going to be something special. View attachment 679842
Yeah, gotta agree with you.
He doesn't have a lot of leg speed, but has that Robert Harvey step into space that'll make him dangerous in the mid. Don't worry about his induction into the half back line, he'll become a stoppage specialist as a midfielder.
Personally I couldn't give a rat's tossbag about the 'trade', I just like what I'm seeing so far. A few preseasons under Jacky Russell to get his fitness levels up, and he'll be a beast.

Experience the stories and lessons learnt from a man who has genuinely seen it all. Manton discusses being cut from Sheedy and the Bombers, to winning a premiership at the Blues within months. Truly remarkable.

Just imagine starting your football career with Russell getting your body right, with Judd, Cripps and Williams in your ear.

He has got every chance to become a super footballer.

Stocker is going to be a very very good footballer.
Your underestimating him Plow ;)
He's been incredibly impressive so far....and won the Morrish Medal last year when he openly admits his fitness levels were not up to standard.
Could be anything, and loved the photo of him on the track with Diesel...hopefully he's learning from the Master...

Where was the article "Richmond wasted Richardson's career"?

She has had it in for the club forever being a Richmond person and has had it in for SOS for a while, but especially since he stood up to her on "footy crucified" that time..........she used to be one of the better journos but has turned into a bitter and twisted head hunter as far as I can see.........maybe she just likes a juicy headline these days to somehow keep her relevant........:greenalien:

She had it in for the tigers for a long while as well- didnt like what the new administrations had done to her fathers legacy

WOW... it's personal now, isn't it? So much for journalistic impartiality. She's gone full vendetta.

Nick Reiwoldt hit the nail on the head on SEN this morning.

In exactly the same position as a few weeks ago against the Pies where we need to kick goals in the final minutes, some of the team sets up for the quick ball down the corridor, yet the defense starts chipping around in the backline again.

We aren't learning from our mistakes.

In my view there are two options the coaches aren't being listened to or the players in question aren't coachable.

Article is now up on SEN website https://www.sen.com.au/news/2019/05/26/the-moment-in-carltons-loss-that-frustrated-nick-riewoldt

I read the headline of the article a little while ago, didn't read the article but thought that was the incident he was talking about. Bang on.

Having said that, I wonder if it's a coaches directive and not the players not taking it on. On Mahers podcast they talked about Weitering chipping it off instead of going to where the players were, they said that when he was asked about it the only thing he regretted was missing the target. So clearly he still thought it was the right decision even after the fact. From that you'd have to say no coach told him that he made the wrong decision and should've kicked it central. Knowing how conservative our game style is they may have even backed him in.

Crikey backing him to not try and win the game, abysmal if that's real.

I mean, I'm just reading between the lines a bit. But if the only thing Weitering is upset about with that play is missing the target then clearly it's never crossed his mind that he should've kicked down the ground. Then nearly the exact same situation presents itself and we do the same thing. That to me is an indicator that they haven't been told to take the risk and go down the middle to a contest. If that's the case they must've been told to play conservative instead, which fits with the rest of our gameplan.
