I have sympathy for farmers who are dudded by poor water rights policies. But those that are dudding them are mostly other farmers. Not city people.

They keep voting for govts with no environmental policies.

Vue de monde and Rockpool are both ok but nothing special. Flower drum is rubbish.

Moda, La Vue and Bacchus are all at least as good. Spirit House at the Sunshine Coast is also elite

Baccus is still serving cow as their mains and a mushroom meal as the vegetarian. Just no. Where is the flair, the liquid nitrogen, the art, the ice cream served with meat, the 80 dollar grated cheese from Tuscany for your soup? The world has moved beyond wagyu and fish of the day. Except in Brisbane.

At aria you literally have bogans staring at you from the footpath outside. At Vue de Monde you are towering over the rest of the city like a god sipping 35 dollar cocktails. Attica regularly rated in the worlds top restaurants. None from brisbane are making the top 1000.

Flower drum might not be the best but it Sh**s all over brisbanes asian restaurants. There isnt even an eqivalent fine dining option in Brisbane.

The only good unique restaurants in Brisbane is Gerrards Bistro and the slightly upmarket Indian in Margaret st. But neither are high level fine dining and both have the problem of not elevating you above the riff raff.
