Very interested in the changes tonight. Seems like McVeigh will play and Menzel is a real shot. If they both come in, it seems to me like the 2nd out (with Kennedy) would be between Fox and O'Riordan. They appear to be the two most on the outer from the current 22, the most expendable. I would guess it might be O'Riordan to go out because McVeigh would shift straight into his position and Fox can play midfield, an area which we don't have much by way of currently.

So somehow McVeigh waltzes in with no gameplay...how lovely. If COR is dropped after last week I'll flip right out!

O'Riordan would be pretty stiff. He's played very well since getting the recall. I like Fox a lot and I think he's good user of the ball but he's probably not got enough touches to cement a spot yet. He could be really handy in the middle though because he works really well in traffic.

Kelly doesnt count he is probably gone after this season.

He might be slow as treacle but McVeigh is our only truly elite ball user by foot.

If he is breathing at training - he is an automatic selection between now and his retirement.

Why does this board give McVeigh a pass for nothing but 25m sideways kicks, yet crucify Lloyd for doing the exact same thing? Why is it “steadying leadership” when McVeigh does it, but “sideways defensive s**t” when Lloyd does it?

BS IMO

The Sydney 23 but taking Kelly as an extra would be nice, so we have 24 and then Geelong have 23 :)

Hirst is a rookie

Don’t care about what he brings but surely he needs at least a game in the NEAFL first- he’s been out for well over a month!

Difference between us and them... their old folk have stayed mostly fit...

Mcveigh is a better kick when he pulls the trigger, he can set up a shot for goal from the backline with his ability to find a target in the middle of the ground.. His vision and evasive skills are still the best. Nothing against Lloyd, just dont know why you keep sooking about Mcveigh.

I sook about McVeigh for the exact same reason others on this board sook about Lloyd. Literally the exact same reason.

Because he usually hits a target. I'm sure same can be said about Lloyd if we're talking about the opposition.

Bur seriously they are similar players McVeigh has a nice baulk that opens his options but Lloyd runs harder.
