no votes to dusty last night

his team was thrashed by a lesser side.
he is already ineligble for brownlow.
wasnt influential when the game was in the balance. didnt stand up or stand out.
Umps will be off him in my opinion only. Will need to be stellar to get votes.

Wont be surprised this year if he doesnt even poll highest for Richmond.

2 and 1 anyones guess. swans players will feature in votes. (parfitt, stewart, blicavs, hewett)

Kelly ran all day just couldnt get hands on it enough, doubt he will poll.

Fyfe and Pendlebury doing their chances no harm with a very likely 3 and 2 votes respectively yesterday
agree. Fyfe 3 for me.

Boak polling again too. 2 or 3 today.

Neale could go either way maybe gets 2 or maybe 0.

Starting to get interesting towards the top.

Cripps wont get any today. Dont think he should be favourite to win Brownlow anymore in a side like Carlton. Its gonna hurt his chances too much.

I’ve cashed out half my Cripps for brownlow bet, for a 175% ROI. Will assess him over the next couple of weeks but he’s starting to lose interest in a very dismal Carlton team. Heavily tagged and this team won’t win much more than 3-4 games if lucky.

My bet heavily banked on Carlton winning 5-8 games this year but they possibly might have gotten worse than last year.

I'll do the same next round if he struggles.

Gaff back in the conversation with 2-3 votes today

You think you are giving Grundy too many votes? We’ve seen how ruckmen have gone in the past.

Also Gawn 3 votes? Melbourne kicked 7 junk time goals against GWS. GWS were 10 goals in front at 3 quarter time.

The days of dominant players not polling in big losses are over. Umpires recognise a big game in losing teams more than ever now.

The days of ruckmen not polling well have not however.

I think Grundy is an exception because he plays as an extra midfielder. The problem for him with polling is there are too many players that will steal votes. Pendles, Treloar, Sidey & De Goey.

Very fair point and one I remain wary of - however as NonPhixion mentioned below, Grundy's style of play is different to a number of ruckmen this year. That said, he also hits on the other potential issue, so many decent Pies taking votes.

People had some vague reason last year as to why Gawn wasn't your typical ruckmen and would attract votes too.

Boak with another clear 3 votes yesterday. Could easily be leading the Brownlow right now

Took 500/126 at about round 3/4. TAB offering just over a grand cash out, but hard to consider that when he's been on the run he has. I've got him at 15 votes already.
