Had a decent thread like these over the past couple years. How do you think our 22 would look in a couple years? Who lives up to their potential? Who retires? Who drops out?

To get the ball rolling:

Rich Andrews Gardiner

Answerth Ballenden Bailey

McCluggage J.Berry T.Berry

Rayner Hipwood Zorko

Cameron McStay McCarthy

McInerney Neale Lyons

E.Smith Starcevich Cutler Fullarton

Love that 22. Obviously a couple of unknowns in there, like young Tom Berry. But let’s just assume he’s a gun as he’s a berry ;)

I think your side is pretty on the money...except I think there’s gonna be another A grader traded into the club.

Don’t ask me who, but I just have a strong feeling we are gonna get another big fish randomly like Lachie

I enjoy these kind of fantasy team hypotheticals. We will obviously have a few trade ins and outs, draft ins and a few retirements but for the sake of the exercise I'll only select from the players on the list now(with 1 exception Keidean Coleman), so I wont fantasize too much.

A lot of hope/wishes/best case scenario development outcomes being used for young guys I've only seen glimpses of in the NEAFL.

Alex Witherden, Marcus Adams, Darcy Gardiner.
Noah Answerth, Harris Andrews(C), Zac Bailey.

Oscar McInerney, Jarrod Berry(VC), Lachie Neale.
Hugh McCluggage, Dayne Zorko, Thomas Berry.

Toby Wooller, Eric Hipwood, Charlie Cameron.
Lincoln McCarthy, Daniel McStay, Keidean Coleman.

Cam Rayner, Sam Skinner, Daniel Rich, Tom Joyce.

I'm hopefull Zorks who'll be 33 in 2022 and Richy(32) will be still playing, been very durable and see them still being able to play at a high level into their mid 30s, if not 2 of Ely Smith, Connor McFadyen, Cedric Cox, Lewy Taylor, Brandon Starcevich in for them. I really like Tom Fullarton and Jack Payne but can't find a place for them, Jarryd Lyons, Lewy Taylor and Rhys Matheison very unlucky, see young guys with more "potential" upside going past them though. I envision Rayner playing a lot more time in the midfield and resting forward. The Big O to be a 80/20 ruck forward with Skinner providing relief as well as playing back and forward as required.

Witherden Andrews Gardiner
Answerth Payne Rich

Allison Mathieson Mccluggage

Cameron Hipwood Wooler
Zorko McStay Rayner

Smith Berry Neale

Cutler Bailey Robinson Joyce

Can see Zorko turning into a similar player that Boomer Harvey was and playing for a long time and Rich becoming our Shannon Hurn.
Hopefully we can continue the trend and add another 2-3 Elite players from either trade,FA or the draft, will add to a already extremely solid looking team.

I was just thinnking that. Would like to see how it compares, but don't know how to find them

Thank god for Chris Fagan!

Ever since Jared Jansen left we have been in desperate need of a specialist big bodied midfielder who starts in the center square with his back towards goal, there's a void there, it could be the last piece in our premiership puzzle.
And for some reason they gave him Brownies Number?

Wow we've come a long way in a few years.

Not sure I even know who B.Evans is

Young Billie. I didn't mind him as a player but never looked like taking the step into the best 22.

Been a bit down on Rayner this year, but I am starting to have a really positive feeling about him. I think he will come good. Just get the impression that there is something in his DNA that will make him a great one club player. It’s the vibe. By 2023 some of my posts earlier in the year will look ordinary.

I predict 1 of our key forwards to exit our list in the near future hence we should be shopping around for a suitable replacement.
