Crouch has missed 3 games in a row and Poholke hasn't played. I don't think he is best 25 at this stage.

He would be up against Crouch Crouch Sloane Gibbs CEY Greenwood Milera for a spot in the mid, we have good players but not elite players its an interesting position to be in, would you trade two of those out for a Fyfe, Pendles, Danger type of player

I do hope Pyke is smart this week.

Sauce IN is the move to make with Mummy. It also gives ROB a breather.

Then bring ROB back in with the 5 day break to play Tigers, he will be fresh and come up against an inexperienced ruckman.

This is actually the perfect player management selection to make.

He's played 11 games and clearly hasn't done enough to keep his spot longer than 2-3 games in row. True signs of a player who needs to do a lot more work to be a consistent AFL player.
Whoops my bad - apologies , wrong stats - still would not write him off completely as he is played out of position at AFL level .

Lol Pendles is ancient.

Ha, like they'd drop Sauce next week on 199 games.

I'd play him next week instead and then give him his 200th for a later home game (when ROB could use a break).

Club is always bigger then the team.

The move to make is to play the bigger and stronger Sauce v Mummy.

Mummy might break ROB.

Gee if Lynch hadn't missed a week when we played west coast with a hammy we might have won

So which player hasnt missed a week??????

My bad there, I was thinking of your post where you said one more week and then confused that with missing only 1 week. The only time I can vaguely recall a player not missing a week after an in-game hammy was a defender, maybe Hartigan, early last year. I think I remember being quite surprised. But yeh, definitely not one recently and certainly not last week.

Agree we need to use different ruckmen over the next 2 weeks with the short break.

Just a question of which one is more ready to go.

We should also factor in the 5 day break for other players, particularly if carrying significant niggles. Imo, we shouldn't risk Sloane, particularly if Mrouch is ready.

Fair enough. I'd happily be proven wrong if/when he comes back into the side and shows he belongs.

It would certainly help his development if we played him in the same position in the AFL side as he does in the SANFL.

SANFL - midfield, multiple touches, shows class, goes up forward and kicks goals

AFL - let's play him in the wasteland that is small half forward

Only concern is has Sauce had enough fitness into him to run out a game

Ruck is an especially taxing role, especially the way Sauce plays it with his wrestling method around the ground and his proclivity to take stoppages very, very deep in our attack. Perhaps they’ll ask him to hold back a bit and let JJ ruck in the 30 arc to ease his workload a bit. Pretty sure Tippett used to do a lot of our ruckwork inside our 30m area. Sauce would be better off behind the play guarding space and potentially intercepting pressured kicks out of defence. That benefit would rely on some defensive pressure in our 50, which we saw nearly none of last week.

There's no room for him in the midfield right now. You don't drop CEY or GW to accommodate Poholke imo.

Talia had one one game but it was a cramp or tightness and played the following week, but strains require rest

Lynch. If you recall correctly, he did it in training immediately before the match that he missed, and played the following week. So, it was just the same as if he had done it in the WC match and played the following week. Technically, he missed a match, but he returned a week after doing the hammy (awareness).
