At the time of the post (around the first 50 runs), he mistimed a lot of the balls, and a fair few went up in the air and landed in safe spots. The latter runs were clean hits.

I went to bed with 8 overs remaining. You can never write a side off in ODI. I thought we were gone.
Thought the same - was bloody annoying TBH.
Stuck it out to the end - bit bleary eyed!
Really enjoyed that game, momentum swung both ways throughout.
Have to say it’s a change to have a competitive WI side, haven’t seen that for a while. They’ve got a great new breed of player untouched by the lethargy of WI cricket over the last 10-15 years.
Those kids were really hungry and anything that went wrong clearly hurt them. Lot of pride in performance.
They will be a very difficult opponent for years now. Hopefully we get some good test battles as cricket needs a strong WI.

Hes a very level headed guy, same cant be said for most of his teammates. They lost their cool in the end, and Starc bowled well

NCN has some real runs on the board in short form cricket. Cummins has shown a lot in red ball cricket as a lower order batsman, but not in white ball as of yet.
Maxwell has batted before Stoinis pretty much every game of the last 12 months (at least, when Stoinis has gotten a game). Maxwell has been in far better form.

What I was raising was some players are better occupying the crease when in trouble & others are better at accelerating the run rate. Our line up should be flexible based on the circumstances.
NCN got us out of trouble though so that's all that matters.
