Autopsy Autopsy vs Gold Coast

Man down 90 seconds in, build a good lead, maintain the lead all game, win at our bogey ground. Throw the tape away like we seem to do every year when we go to Metricon and we move on.

Great first quarter, kind of went through the motions in the other three although I felt that was exacerbated by our horrendous shooting for goal from pretty much dead in front, i think if we finished better we would have gained some momentum.

We have a shithouse record against this mob so am pretty happy with the points.

Shame about the injury to Higgins.

I was going to say Jack.... But ok, Kane it is.
Sometimes it must be really tough for our mods to identify trolls.

But defending Kane mother******* Cornes over our club captain is an offence that really should attract capital punishment. Or at very least a permaban.

higgin's injury is actually a blessing in disguise in that we use his off period to cement another young player for the future. Also the team has to pick up a bit as a whole to cover for higgin. This is of great benefit because it will elevate the team to another level so we are not relying on a player. Perhaps it's time for one of Ahern, Hall to take over and cement a spot. Hall is a naturally gifted player who has great pace and explosiveness and needs an opportunity to be put in the gut to get the best out of himself.

Yep just read about it, oh damn, this means we will try to get LDU to play on-ball to quicken his progress as the heir apparent to cunnington. Let LDU to play in the guts for the rest of the season. Rotate ahern needs to come in then as an extra rotation in the midfield.

I thought Gold Coast came out with a malicious intent.
Higgins driven into the ground shoulder first and then Larkey shortly after are.
They can go * themselves.
Piece of s**t club.

Great day all round. Even though you guys beat us, it was great to see Jack Z cop a golden shower as he was cheered from the ground. Happy to lose so that Jack can celebrate 200 TOUGH games.
If we can knock over GWS at The Northtress next week, then the world is our lobster, so to speak.

And now seeing North Melbourne’s own Ash Barty win the French in front of Rockin’ Rod Laver brings a tear to the eye. First woman to do so since Yvonne Wollongong would you believe? I was hardly even born then!!! I’m actually boiling my eyes out as I type this.

Anyway, time to crack open another can of LDU and get maggotted with my 6 mates. We just worked it out, we have a combined income of well over 6 figures. That’s nothing to be sneezed at in my book.

I know we've been worse in the past, and typically this is one we lose. Plus living in Cairns for 5 years myself I'm all too familiar with the dewy muggy atmosphere of QLD, even on a rainy day even the ball sweats. But that's Brad era stuff, I don't compare it. I compare only what we were last week, and our best for the year. And this was nowhere near our best, it wasn't good enough.

I expect more from North, we're better than this.

The ball sweats are the worst thing about humid places.

Going to get flogged by some people for saying this, but Tarryn shares a very strong trait with Bont.

Over 90% of his touches ended up as a score and about 80% of them were contested.

Any idiot can stand in 15 meters of space and can have a score involvement and assist - this bloke is winning it under pressure, at the coal face and is still ripping teams open.

Granted today we played against a bucket of piss, but this is the third or fourth time this year that his dozen and a bit touches have really done damage.

He will legitimately kill sides if he has 20 touches one day. Freak footballer.

Agree, he's like Bont in they both have silk disposal, can play tall, have the ability to read the ball and bound away into space to use that brilliant long kick.

Tarryn has a genuine defensive side to his game though. He relishes the physical stuff.

Not even ten games in and already he's crippled a bloke in a tackle.
