He looks like a pretty natural modern day midfielder IMO. He could be the big bodied contested beast we are crying out for. Just unleash him in the middle (but not rucking) and let him run, win contested ball and roost it forward as he pleases.

Geez you lot.Some of you couldn't wait to land Balta in the backline.The next Rance they said.One game and he looked a duck out of water(rightly so) and now you question why in the backline.
He's not a natural backman (although we could maybe make him into one in time), doubt he'll ever make it as a forward ... looks like a natural follower tl me, and his contested ball numbers (from the games he has playex on the ball) strongly support this. Unleash him on the ball to create chaos and drive the ball forward.

unfortunately for him, the lack of key defenders brought in by the recruiting department means he'll have to play there til atleast astbury gets back

Can't understand why Balta was played on Esava Ratugolea in defence, but Caddy went up against Ratugolea in the ruck and Balta went to the bench???

Broad will come straight back in too. That frees up Balta to go back to the middle.
The same moron who dropped Broad the very week Astbury was injured.
Chol instead of Garth maybe. But with Balta, Garth & Soldo all playing. And Lynch new to the team. Not much experience amongst the talls at the moment

We need him to be the next Richo or Koutoufides so a position in the BL should be a no goer. Sick of all our players having their aggressive and natural attacking instincts coached out of them bc they need a defensive side to their games. We need unpredictability in our boys bc atm we are as simple as a Golden book to read.

Will be a nice luxury should we get key players back and have no further injuries that we can actually put players in their best positions. Our current injury crisis has forced the hands of selectors with predictable results, the cupboard is starting to get bare.
