What are some of the highest hit-out aggregates where a ruckman from each team achieved at least 20 hit-outs in the same game?

Taking a quick look at the highest game hit-out totals for individuals on AFL Tables, I have found the following instances where an aggregate of over 90 was achieved.

On the radio yesterday after Walters kicked the point to win the game after the siren - they said he was only the 5th player (seems a low number ) to do that

Iknow 4 of them - Bartel against Hawth - about 6-7 years ago . Ken Newland re Geel v Coll in 72 . Tony Lockett in that final against Ess - im not certain the siren had gone before he took the kick though - and of course Walters yesterday - that leaves one or possibly 2 others - who were they

Also just a bit of trivia - i can remember a game in the 60s - Ess v Geel at Windy Hill - Ken Fraser ( Ess captain ) kicked a point just before the siren to level the scores - however he was given a freekick - however Fraser was a terrible kick ( poor ball drop ) and he consulted a couple of his teammates - and he decided not to take the free kick ( in case he missed everything lol) and thus accepted the draw - that would have to be the only time a player did that i reckon .

Fifth known case of a player kicking a behind after the siren to win. It’s important to emphasise that fact.

Interestingly none other of those cases were from someone hitting the post.

There is a guy on bigfooty that posts up the stats of which players are in the center and on the wings at all centre bounces. Can someone please tell me who and where I can find this guy/info?

After last night's match, was wondering what the biggest winning margin is by a side that had a goalless first quarter?

That was win number 571 from a team with a goalless 1st quarter (from 2,236 goalless 1st quarters).

Edit: North Melbourne won by 52 points (against St Kilda) in Rd. 2 2018. Geelong's 67 point win is the biggest since Footscray won by 69 points (over Brisbane at Carrara) in Rd. 9 1990.

The first five games of Brendan Bolton's coaching career resulted in 5 wins. The final five games of his career (for the time being) resulted in 5 losses. Does anyone know of any other coach who began and finished their coaching career with a greater conflicting win/loss streak?

In the Geelong Richmond game last Friday, each side won 2 quarters.

Is it possible to know what is the biggest winning margin by a side only winning 2 quarters for the game?
And next, for interest, what is the biggest winning margin by a side winning only one quarter?

Amusing to see that the same teams were involved in both these games, with the same winning margin, but a different result each time! In the first game Geelong (while they only won one) did manage to draw two of the quarters.

In the Geelong v Richmond game lat Friday, Geelong were held goalless in the first quarter, kicked 7 goals in the second quarter, 8 goals in the third quarter, and managed to avoid a goalless last quarter by kicking 1 goal from their only scoring shot (to finish with a score of 16.8.104)

I am interested to know what the highest scores are for a team that was held goalless for two quarters in a game?

David Teague has started his Carlton interim coaching career with a win, while Royce Shaw is doing even better with two wins from his first two games as North’s interim coach.

What is the best start for an interim coach appointed mid-season after the previous coach was sacked or stood down?

(I am not including Brendon Bolton’s 5 wins from 5 games as caretaker coach at Hawthorn where he filled in while Alastair Clarkson was sick).

All these examples are for teams being held at one end, scoring at the other. Geelong's burst was in the 2nd & 3rd quarters. Is it the biggest win by a team that lost two quarters at different ends of the field? (i.e. 1&2,1&4,2&3 or 3&4)

No! Carlton had an 86 point win over Fitzroy in Rd. 16 1993:

Carlton lost the first two quarters and won the last two.

I think that's the game SOS was moved to full forward at half time and kicked a lazy 9 second half goals! Not bad for the full back of the century.
