Religion Folau

Something that is likely to continue to fly over the heads of those hydrating on about 10 litres a day of Jones/Bolt flavoured Folau kool-aid I’m afraid.
Remove Folau the individual; attack the issue, not the individual. If you think people are merely driven to support the individual as distinct from the underlying issue in this instance, then I think your mistaken; but you appear to be an intelligent person, so I suspect your post is driven by strategic convenience rather than error.

And here we go again.

Charity watchdog could investigate Australian Christian Lobby over Folau fundraiser

People are going to get their money to Folau if they have to deliver it in person. Let it happen.
More short sighted imbeciles giving it more air and ensuring more "Aussie" battlers harden resolve against the perceived censorship of opinion/far left agenda.
They only have to show the money is going to be used to advocate and support their registered cause, in this case their religion.
It wont be hard to show they are doing just that.

Aussie battlers donating their hard earned to a multi millionaire who most likely wouldn't piss on them if he was on fire. Battlers? Useful idiots more like.

We disagree where you state there is a contradiction. People can have religious beliefs and not vilify. Happens every day. Folau chose to vilify.

You can't prove 100% that Folau vilified - he may actually believe that religious bs. That contradiction is certain - can't be argued.

I'll put you on ignore, getttin off the roundabout.

Regardless of anyone's opinion of Falau this is still a fair point.
If the ACL is registered as a charity with the ACNC they have very clear obligations on what they can, and cannot, do.

There are no specific allegations of improper practice mentioned. Just some people being a general nuisance, like protesters blocking the road.

Unbelievable, I can't believe she said this after doing the exact opposite in HRT for many years. Hell has officially frozen over.

The Calvary is coming, for those who don't know rugby is 80 to 90% private school and out of that 70% Anglican

Castle will have to resign shortly

The usual suspects are really starting to melt as the realisation of their impending loss comes to bear.

People like you are just disrespectful and show your inability to comprehend past the first baby step of analysis. The people jumping on this see through the first juvenile response and analysis the likes of which you are unable. It's not about Folou's money or otherwise, wake up and show enough respect for the Australian public to grasp that. They are not prejudiced against the poor or rich when it come to THEIR OWN lives being affected and dictated to by deemed more powerful individuals/groups. It's the standing up against "The Man", that Aussies always have done taking place.
I like the fact the Australian public has not had to rally behind a particular person deemed by only the likes of yourself to be victim enough, poor enough, supporting of left or right ideologies enough to stand up for their beliefs.
The Australian public has a genuine concern that despite everything else the media and Joyce have divisively stirred up for their own short term gains, the "SACKING" of someone from their job and income earning ability, affecting the family, children and others for, in their minds, simply quoting a bible text is WRONG.
They believe that could have ramifications for all Australians, their jobs and what they may or may not have permission from those more "powerful" to say. There is enough legal opinion out there agreeing that may be the case and that citizens thinking such are right to be concerned.
It's the short-sighted juvenile minds incapable of grasping that, whilst masquerading as intelligent purveyors of understanding that cannot grasp it. Stop playing the defamatory divisive hater of so many genuinely concerned Aussies, it's not helping.

Yeah, I'm ambivalent about the whole Falau thing to be honest, but they'll have a constitution written up and approved by the ACNC, and I can't see how that will cover them being involved with fundraising for an individual.
Maybe wrong, but I'm involved with a few NFP's and charities at a committee level and I can't see how they'll get around this.

How is it that I'm divisive and hateful but Issy is not? My feelings on this are every bit as genuine and heartfelt as him.

Aussie battlers donating their hard earned to a union's who most likely wouldn't piss on them if he was on fire. But union leaders will use the money to further their political ambitions. Battlers? Useful idiots more like.
Really 😁

People have religious beliefs which I find stupid, but I m not sure I'd belittle them for it. Many would see this as an attack on their beliefs and are happy to donate, infact happy to donate too many good causes more than atheists.

I can't believe people are giving their money to a millionaire!

Now excuse me while I give my money to Gil McLaughlin, Richard Colless et al, and a bunch of footballers on 300k per year (plus free cars and drink cards).

Are you people listening to yourselves?

Well I'm involved with a few myself and you perhaps need to gain some greater knowledge for the benefit of those groups you are involved with.

Not sure I deserved such a smart arse reply, but you appear to be more than a little worked up over this issue, so I'll let it pass.
I assume you have a copy of the ACL's constitution at hand considering your smarmy confidence over the issue?

I honestly do not know if you are for or against Folau and his right to tweet his opinions.
