1985 Elimination Final. Played a blinder. 71 games in 8 seasons. Only played 10 games in a year twice (1982 and 1985). Played his last game at 25.
One of my favourite arvos at the footy. It was akin to us somehow scraping into the top 8 this year and knocking off Richmond in the Elimination Final off the back of a big final quarter coming from behind. Such a shame his career was so brief.
Some handy names on these lists.Kyron Hayden

Real Shinboner stuff. Was the "Required Effort" shot of Schimma from his game?
was a game against * at windy hill where he had his left canon on display, kicked 2 huge goals fron long range ( wind assisted i admit) was last round of the year where we couldn't make finals. the same game where jimmy gave mark harvey one of the quickest left jabs you will ever (or in harveys case never) see.Beautiful left foot kick, loved watching him play.
saw Phil on mangrock a few weeks back, hes actually a pretty funny bugger. just read the "brother boys" book on the krakours, you can see how Phil comes across as much more laid back than jim. pity his knees gave way. How's Phil's shirt?
Way to reinforce his message.
Started watching North really in 1983 as a 10-11yo kid. So 1985 was the first year I experienced winning a final. Wasn't at the 1985 EF but listened to the game on radio. So far behind early, but ran all over them. Kept the VHS recording of Seven's Big League for years until I got the full game on DVD nearly 20 years later. It was my first real NMFC Finals win. Loved it. Coming from a near spoon in '84 to win a final with a very young team was incredible. Real Shinboner stuff. Was the "Required Effort" shot of Schimma from his game? As for John Holt - check out 9:30 in this clip.
