Best I’ve seen:

Defenders:
1. Rance
2. Silvagni
3. Scarlett

Midfielders:
1. Judd
2. Ablett Jr
3. Voss

Forwards:
1. Carey
2. Franklin
3. Gaz Sr

7AFL running with the GOAT forward vs the GOAT defender. Would be an interesting matchup. Think Rance would pip him in the modern game.

They haven't even picked the GOAT for either end though.

Hudson, Lockett, Dunstall, Coleman, Ablett all better than Carey.
Southby, Dench, SOS, Scarlett, Glass all better than Rance.

Channel 7 are drunk.

Bloody hell. How old are you mate? Wasn’t Coleman playing in the 50s haha.

His record is oustanding and statistically only bettered by Hudson. 537 goals in 98 games at 5.48 per game.
Goalless just once. Career cut down by a knee injury.

Even Leigh Matthews as a rover averaged more goals per game than Carey.

So there’s a story doing the rounds that BT bugged another VFA clubs dressing rooms in 1991.

I had to laugh when Wayne Carey chimed in with this beauty

“You have legitimately cheated, you bugged an opposition coach’s box” Wayne Carey said.

******* hell, what a missed opportunity lol.

Pies have been pretty average for weeks now, that result yesterday was coming IMO.

It really is an open year, could be another 2016 where a team from 6,7 or 8th wins the flag. Despite the cats being 12-2 on top, I’m still not convinced on us being a true threat come September.

The two game buffer to rest blokes late in the season, and that most of the teams are interstate makes me believe.
We can't allow ourselves to leave Victoria.

The week off before the finals is a worry for the Cats.

Haven’t been a fan of that from the outset. I thought they were doing away with it, it disadvantages the top 4. They deserve the incentive of the week off by winning the first final, everyone getting that extra week before the finals levels the playing field too much.
