F****** wow, so so happy with that performance, so much to like. Its too late to give a long post.

Todays game showed me something that has been missing most of the year, mongrel, tackling, pressure, hunting the opposition, getting in their faces, being un sociable, scrapping and just busting your arse that little bit more than your opposition over a prolonged period of time. It has reaffirmed to me, that our lack of pressure and tackling was by design and I'm so happy it seems to be gone.

Teague seems to make a lot more in game changes, player movements, Silvagni and Ed played a massive role today and Cas has been just fantastic.

The last 3 weeks have been a huge step in the right direction, lets keep moving forward.

Go Blues

He got drafted because of his genes. Hooray for common sense.
Time to get Jack working on three sons also..........
If all the Silvagni boys have 3 sons, then they all have 3 sons. We will eventually field a team of only Silvagnis....

What a sight to behold.

We just have to bred them with athletic Women of different heights to get ruckman Silvagni and forward pocket Silvagni

EDIT: Rsos, HFFsos and BPsos is how we will call them.

I actually don't think that Jack needs to tag in the midfield either. Just find the right match up (strong, not overly quick) and let him go head to head. Can spell with Matt Kennedy up forward as well.

This. Spells up forward are fine - but his main role needs to be close to the ball. He plays much better in that sort of role.

Probably the best first year player I have seen
I beat you to this quote about a month ago. Couldn't agree more. Thought he played a different role inside more today and still got 30 touches. His efficiency was down from his usual lofty heights, he had been sensationally efficient for a first year player.

Jack Silvagni, you've had your doubters, myself included, but today was your coming out party as a serious AFL footballer.

Excited by seeing Kennedy kick a couple of nice goals...i remember seeing him do it while at GWS.

Having some big bodied mids in Kennedy and JSOS rotating mid and forward, having an impact in both areas of the ground, could become a big strength.
Maybe Setterfield as well in time. And of course Cripps.

Woke up this morning and spent 30 minutes agonizing over whether to go or not.

Miserable day, on my own, trying to save money.

Live a 30 minute walk from Optus stadium. Drive past it on the Graham Farmer freeway every day to work. Be good to get out of the house.

Ultimately decided to chill at home and watch it on Foxtel.

Next minute:

Thought Walsh played an amazing team game today. Very inside doing simple things, always under pressure and was everywhere. Incredible for a first year player. Probably the best first year player I have seen since the draft started. GPS numbers would be through the roof

Totally agree, for a kid his age to be racking up 30 possie games as an 18 year old, is out of this world.

He is a behind the ball quarterback, yet his ability to get to 2nd, 3rd contests is beyond his years.

Lot of his work goes unnoticed.
