Something is very fishy! The timing mostly.

It serves as nothing but a distraction and potentially a bit of s momentum killer for the season having this out in July.

Gut feeling is he wants to go home at the end of his contract and some slimy prick (communications specialists/managers) decided to twist it around as in he wants out ASAP...

I feel just as low as when Paddy dogged us pre final.

What would be the purpose of his manager denying it at this stage?
Yep, this is where I'm at too. This is a manager's work trying to exact maximum commission.

on SPP i don't think he is, but he probably needs some good supports around him, i think some of his 'mates' have gotten him into a bit of trouble. with essendon's history i'm guessing you probably have some good indigenous programs. i think he's still got a fair bit of potential but our current coach seems to be woeful at developing players so i dunno.
we’d put him in Nathan Lovett Murray’s spare room to sort him out

Hopefully he smashes tue next 2 and a half years then the club can pay him as much as he wants to keep him here. We can not lose this bloke.

For anyone who was watching channel 7 news, didn’t like the sounds from his manager at all.
Said something like “He’s contracted, so he’ll come out as a free agent in two years time.” That could mean a whole bunch of things, and could also mean nothing.
I dare say we’ll likely lose him eventually, just maybe not this year.

McGowan reported that Fantasia would like to return home to South Australia at some point with Port Adelaide his preferred destination.

The star forward signed a two-year contract extension last August that was expected to keep him at Tullamarine until at least the end of 2021.

“Absolute minimum it’s a first-round pick for Orazio at the moment, and I wouldn’t think on its own that would get the job done,” McGowan told SEN SA’s Dwayne’s World.

“If he was out of contract at the end of this year, potentially you could get him for just a first-round pick. But knowing he has two years that’s a bit of leverage Essendon has.

“It’s not certain that he is going to go at the end of this year, and I want to make that absolutely clear. It’s that he will at some point in his career go back to South Australia.”

Yeah hopefully when Raz retiers

What a peanut for creating a nothing story

Biggest load of dribble I’ve read in a long long time. All assumptions and quotes from 6 years ago and ta da!!! Embarrassing by McGowan, just waiting for afl.com.au to update the story post Raz and Mcconville speaking.

Might add, if he does leave in two years time if doesn’t mean McGowan is right. At this point of time he is factually wrong.

2 years is a long time.

I’m sure the girl will either be gone or in Melbourne by then.
