Are we thinking of the same Damien Adkins? One who played with Collingwood too?
Forgot about G.Ablett snr. made no difference which foot. Before Gary Ablett Senior? You're entitled to your opinion, but come on!
Might be the same memory for me. 2004 vs the Dogs. Gathered on his right side near the boundary, turned a Dogs player inside out and kicked a goal from 50.The very one.
One day in a game at Subi he kicked a goal from outside 50 on his right then shortly after on his left (or vice versa, it was a while ago). My only Damien Adkins memory of anything.
Some I remember growing up were Joel Bowden and Leon Cameron were superb long kicks and kicked a number of long range goals. Greg Tivendale was a random one but om the run he could launch a few from 55+. As was Deledio earlier in his career.
For some reason Dusty doesn't take these shots on anymore but he was certainly capable of them earlier in his career. Jayden Short can launch them too but not sure about his opposite foot.
Damien Adkins could.
Couldn't do a lot else.
Sidebottom kicked a beauty last year against the Bombers.
Aker was good, but there is only one GOAT
No way VossCertainly Akermanis, and I have a gut feel Voss probably could to
Why do you say that?No way Voss
He wasn't a renowned long kick from memory esp on the opposite footWhy do you say that?
He was a very long kick haha. Probably one of the most powerful kicks in the league. That's why I have a feeling he could have.He wasn't a renowned long kick from memory esp on the opposite foot
