Separate 1010 into two 10s, keep one as premiership captain Easton Wood, then take first premiership captain Sutton ( 6 ) away from the other 10 and you end up with 4 - our next premiership captain The Bont

And if you add our two premiership captains together (6+10) you get ...

Spooky.

And add 4 and you get 20, the year Bont takes us to the flag! We need to get this stuff to Cameron Mooney for his Numberology bit on Foxtel

EDIT - Brianperrin beat me to it!

This is so f'n awesome. An amazing game and effort in itself but a pivotal moment in the path to our premiership.

For the haters out there, the team included Jong, Honey, the Rat and Webby. A nice reminder to respect every player who pulls on the jumper and does their best for our club. :thumbsu: :rainbow:

Oh and we won 11.11 to 10.13

Best 2 minutes of football by Hrovat in a dogs jumper.
Do not miss Honeychurch's hospital kicks - what was that high floater from 35 metres (at 1.50) that almost killed Dahlhaus?

Great memory!

R2, 1987 sucked as we conceded our highest score v Sydney and only licked 11.13 but it was Simon Atkins' first game and he kicked two goals [from 3 kicks]. Sydney were flying that year from memory, kicking massive scores regularly
We had a good team then, don't know why we went off the rails after 1985. Familiar story :)

It seems as though we have jumped forward by 100 days. Shouldn't we now be 1013 days beyond instead of 1113?
Thanks for pointing that out :drunk:

Bob Spargo's birthday is 15/10/39
I was having a drink with a bloke in a Broken Hill bar in March 1974 after the St Pat's Day races (long story) and somehow we got talking footy. He mentioned he used to play for Footscray and it turned out it was Bob Spargo, one of my boyhood heroes. He said he was working for Blacklocks of Albury at that stage.

I'd like to think I bought him a beer at that point, but it was a long time ago ... and rather a long night.

Not entirely appropriate to this thread, but surely an auspicious sign that our current #16 has kicked 54 career goals.

Only a complete numpty would see this as coincidence.
Would be awesome if we had a #54 who kicked 16 goals in a game :p
