Very Shedda like isn't he? Perfect replacement for him. Hope he hangs around.

So Shai has 16 disposals, 2 marks, 7 tackles and kicks 4 against the Dockers and gets overlooked for Gryan Miers who has 22 disposals and kicks 1 goal.

He then has 26 disposals, 9 marks, 4 tackles and kicks 2 goals and gets overlooked again for someone who has 11 disposals, 5 marks and 5 goals.

They went with Larkey who has played his FIRST good game of the year and ignored Shai who has played his 2nd great game.

Shai deserved it this week.
Larkey has had a few good games.

Such a nonsense post, Miers had weeks of good performances in the lead up and Larkey has been great all season for a big young player, impact not stats. His performance on the weekend was great. Don't worry Shai will get one.

Yeah can’t really argue against a 5 goal game despite how well shai played

Larkey has had a few good games.

Certainly has, he has worked strongly in their forward line and even when he's not marking and kicking goals he's doing all the 1%ers. They seriously love what he is doing down there at the Roos.

.
Must be re signed

Kid needs to be given direction on where the club see's him as part of our future.
The club has given direction on where they see shais future,,
They see him playing more midfield and want to get him
In the midfield rotations as much as they can

His evasiveness and ability to weave through traffic is cat-like. Such a smooth operator. We all knew he had that in him though, but what has surprised me most this season is his ability to accumulate when he plays in midfield. His first genuine crack on the weekend and he nearly had 30 touches. Other times when he has had short stints he would rack them up pretty quickly (late in the North and Geelong games). His last game in the VFL he had something like 37 touches and 11 tackles. He has the class to break games open with 15 touches. If he’s regularly finding it 30 times then he’s going to cause some serious damage.

Needs to back it up against a quality opponents.

That will give us a really good idea of how good he is as a midfielder!

Yeah definitely. Gotta keep the lid on until he proves himself against the best. I think his numbers will be down against GWS, but he’s still developing. It won’t be until he’s about 22 or 23 when he will have consistent output. A lot to like early days though.

I always thought he would be a guy with a strong highlight package (2018 vfl mark and goal of the year were both absurd) but little consistency, as a specialist small forward.

Now I am thinking we may have found Shedda's long-term replacement in midfield, or wherever we need him. Can find the ball (I had no idea!), great lateral movement in close, great hands, great vision...super excited about his development this year at VFL and AFL level.

Grreat comparison. We need someone who has slick hands and is wriggly enough not to get rackled. stewie edwards is that, and his ability to use skills to break down plays is what hopefully bolts can do
