CEY is a FA and on the rookie list. If signs with another club we'll get nothing for him
That's what I mean, I'd keep him but if someone wants to pay him a decent enough increase then fine.

He's 26, finally getting his body right and started to have a genuine, consistent impact on games. I struggle with idea of letting him go for SFA. His next 2-3 years will probably be the best of his career

Tex will have defenders running off him and kicking 3 goals a match by next year
Lynch might play 8 games if hes lucky
Talia will be actually be slower than Tex by next year
Youre hoping Smith and Laird get their head back in the game
Gibbs will have his head all over the place

Would be a walk up start in the Melbourne, St Kilda, Bulldogs and North sides I reckon. Possibly Hawthorn too.
Unless Suckling retires this year, I doubt he'd be a walk up start with us. Would be competing with guys like Duryea, Crozier, Morris (if he keeps going), Wood, etc. as our medium sized defenders (although Duryea often plays on the smalls). In saying that, I am pretty sure there was talk last year that the Dogs enquired with his manager, and I wouldn't dismiss the notion of us trading for him if he was interested this year. We really don't need more half backs, but his size would help his case a lot

I’d rather keep Otten on and keep playing him in defence in the sanfl... Butts, hamill, McPherson and scholl look to be thriving under his tutelage in defence.. he’s been like a general to them back there and a great mentor to these young lads.. he’s still fit enough and fast enough for sanfl..

Wonder if we can retire him but keep him on board ala Matty Wright...

Otten is too worried about the NBA offseason than getting a game or the team winning. hes been on the list for 12 years now.. he's milked allhe can. time to go IMO. bUT YES WOULD BE HANDOtten is too worried about the NBA offseason than getting a game or the team winning. hes been on the list for 12 years now.. he's milked allhe can. time to go IMO. Nah I reckon Jacko Graham warms a spot on Marty's bench and Jonty Shazza too, now if only Shazza was on an AFL list...

as silly as this is, what if you could clone people, and fill an entirely football team?

what if you could have 22 Burtons play against 22 Tex's?

now that would be interesting, although perhaps difficult to call.

Has he considered he'll be playing VFL only at the Pies?

There is absolutely no way he's best 22 in the position/role he plays at the Pies with their depth in medium defenders..

What Victorian team would he be a walk up start in? Bad football career decision IMO.

What's he worth trade wise?

He'd be good for the Western Bulldogs. I've heard his name suggested as an option for them in a couple of podcasts. None with inside word, but an interesting perspective.

He was alright for a while - we were winning and he had nothing to sling s**t at without looking dumb.

But a shitty quarter against Geelong and a terrible half against Port and this board becomes Lord of the Flies, with crazy Marty holding the effing conch.

Back on ignore, I reckon.
