If I wanna watch an episode of a tv show or a classic movie, I'll use Stan.

I watched Caligula a while back on Stan.

They also have DeepThroat and a couple of the Emmanuelle movies.

I remember back when i had Foxtel all these came onto the World Movies channel but were sanitised.

Caligula and Emmanuelle were legit.

Deep Throat obviously had the 'zoom right in and jiggle the camera' effect on the naughty bits but kept the audio as is.

iirc, Caligula only has a few seconds of hardcore and Emmanuelle was mostly softcore.

I don't think it will matter to the core demographics - young people growing up.

A dozen different streaming apps is just the way it is.

I only use Netflix anyway. I also sometimes pay for YouTube just for that one show but I wouldn't class that as the same as the others. More a sharing and music platform that dabbles in producing original content.

The YouTube app gets far more use on my TV than Netflix.

This is true in our house too, unfortunately my YouTube recommendations now revolve around a guy called DanTDM and inane shouting over people playing minecraft or terraria.


Possibly related point: don't give your 10yo access to your YouTube account.

Give it a week and YouTube's algorithms will turn those recommendations from harmless dorks playing video games to alt right channels

nope, caligula was missing loads (pardon the pun)
i have (or had.. somewhere) the full 153 odd minute dvd. there's literally a full on orgy scene (hardcore). basically when penthouse took over production they just added a bunch of hardcore pr0n because.. i dunno really. but it's pretty funny that actors like helen mirren, sir john gielgud and peter o'toole are in a movie with hardcore *in
