What it means for Geelong: Keeping breathing space at the top. After last week's stumble, the Cats now only have a one-game buffer on West Coast. Responding on the rebound it's essential to ensuring a home qualifying final.

What it means for St Kilda: Playing for the coach. Following horror quarters against Brisbane (round 14) and North Melbourne (round 16), the Saints need a consistent performance to ensure the headlines go elsewhere next week.

The stat: 1999. The last time the Saints defeated the Cats in Geelong, having lost their past eight trips down the highway.

The match-up: Jack Billings v Mitch Duncan

Two of the best-performing wingmen in the competition this season, a head-to-head battle on the wing at GMHBA Stadium would be a mouth-watering proposition. Duncan, ranked 43rd in the AFL Official Player Ratings, is ranked No.3 at Geelong for most disposals with Billings (187th) No.1 at the Saints.
It’s a big week for: Rhys Stanley
Has his chance to assert his position as Geelong's No.1 ruck this week against his former side. Will be matched for athleticism around the ground with Saint Rowan Marshall, Saturday night presents as Stanley's opportunity to get his stoppage work back to its best.

Big call: Tom Hawkins to wind back the clock 10 years to the 2009 Grand Final with a match-winning performance.
Prediction: Cats by 37 points.

As per the preview, Richo will be hoping for a strong effort against a good side at their ground. Will we see Rhys Stanley play his one dominant game of the year?
That’s already happened....try again

Another dodgy St Kilda goal
Nothing dodgy about that goal, clearly incorrect disposal and caught with the ball. Could have kicked it and choose not to then dropped it. About as clear cut as it gets

Darcy was tossing himself off about Joel Selwood and talking about "one Geelong champion handballing to another"

But is Selwood still a champion? He's been average in most games I've seen this year. Rarely among his team's best players.
Unless he's been carrying an injury which i don't know about???

Objectively speaking, Selwood wouldn't be in the Top 50 footballers this year.
