He hasn't been that great this season. Been serviceable in a few games and rubbish in many others.

Genuinely don’t understand the rationale around the blocking in the ruck

If it’s a one on one in a marking contest - it’s lauded and called protecting the space or protecting the drop zone

Using your body and controlling the ruck is now considered “blocking”

It completely removes part of the rucking craft
