Dunkley the difference, incredible performance. Took two marks in the last quarter under heavy pressure too.

Gawn/Preuss duo will be very hard to stop.

Umpires did their very best to get Melbourne over the line.
Was terrible both ways, paid soft technical ones and missed obvious frees. More than once two umpires called different decisions.

They actually lost control of the game today. Both fans would go home unhappy with the umps.

I was pretty happy with the umpiring.

Il pay that...BUT what is going on with Oliver? Injured or just lack of troops to support him this year?
Probably both. Hasn't looked right physically since even JLT but it's not like he hasn't produced elite football while injured before so that's not really an excuse. Down on form and confidence, as are Harmes and Brayshaw and all three finished the year off so strongly in 2018. Viney and Petracca have only just started coming good.

He is averaging 30+ touches a week this year, so he is hardly struggling.

But even as the driver of his bandwagon, I can admit he hasn’t been as influential this year. His creativity and precision with his hands has been a highlight in previous years, but this year he hasn’t had the same care. Too many dump handballs to others under pressure imo.

This is actually his best season in terms of average disposals. Shows how flawed the metric is.

its like treloar for collingwood. Ask pies fans and they think hes been rubbish cause he butchers it 25 times a game but "stats"wise its his most prolific year

Unrelated note, somehow I’ve never seen Rourke Smith until today. What a mane.
He's hideous but actually stringing together quite a decent season, particularly in the past month or two.

Oliver isn't necessarily butchering it, he's just having no impact. Very Tom Mitchell.
