Interesting week East Keilor V Westmeadows at Overland
Hillside 2 weeks off due to split weekend wont help their cause momentum wise
Battle of Relegation (Roxy and TL have Byes and get 4 points) - makes it difficult for Oak Park
And RP play TL this week. So one of these sides gets another win ahead of OP.

byes, split rounds...… really is poor.
does nobody any good.
Sooner there are more teams (at least 10) the better.
I for one hope Caroline springs comes in next year. Good club that would have to go straight to Div. 1.
and IMO would be highly competitive.
Be interesting how points were allocated. I imagine if a one pointer there, they would have to be a one pointer in EDFL if changing leagues. Otherwise they could not compete. (be even more interesting to know if for example a Caroline Springs player came to EDFL with club as a one pointer and sought a clearance pre season to another EDFL club. I would say then they would attract full points?)

Looking forward to EK v WM this week. First time round WM did it very well and IMO EK worst performance of season.
I think it will be different this time around. EK playing to keep top spot and a much more settled team. WM seem to have gone off the boil a bit too but plenty to play for and we know their best is very good. In essence first "FINAL " of year.
Hope it is fine weather.

It will be a big loss for WRFL, they are good club with big numbers. You'd expect them to remain on the same points if they retain the same playing group.

Agree East Keilor v Westy will be a great clash. I just dont think the split round works with byes - especially for a side that cops a two week break such as Hillside. EDFL should have just started the season a week later. Only benefit will be top 4 sides can do some scouting before the finals!

Scouting?
I thought clearances would be closed?

Hearing from a reliable source that a current An very important injured Tullamarine player is being investigated for an incident involving an edfl official whilst spectating during a reserves game on Saturday if tru would certainly rule him out for finals . Watch this space

Agree, the split round makes no sense in div 1. Every team now has 5 weekends off (Easter, QB, split round, 2 byes) during the season in which they only play 16 games.

If you took the % off from when EK broke the rules and incorrectly played over the total player points would they still be on top or would they be sitting second? Lets hope that Cragieburn or Tullamarine don't finish on the same amount of wins and miss the double chance because of it. That would be a disgrace and a terrible look for the league. I'm sure the EDFL's response to it would be 'we already said we're sorry...'

Tullamarines appeal has been rejected by the EDFL due to the said player already being suspended on the day, therefore there can be no case for appeal???
If a cowardly king hit from behind which knocks a player out cold and well off the ball only constitutes a yellow card what would a player need to do to get a red card?

This competition is seriously a joke. Why would parents want their children to play in the competition? Where’s the protection?

Great post.. It sickens me that this is still happening in 2019 and people can get away with it.. You get a harsher penalty abusing an umpire than king hitting someone behind play . Whether it was an elbow or a fist it doesn’t matter it’s still a king hit

Interesting did the goal umpire report the incident - or is it like the old days when umpires wouldnt report players so they wouldnt miss out on watching Beverly Hills 90210!

What a joke. They need to make an example of this thug. I know if that was my kid being hit i wouldn’t be happy right about now...

Yawn. Slow news week.

The EDFL have not had a great year administration wise. The same old question applies, what should be done? I’m assuming a majority of posters on this forum have some EDFL club connection. What are your club Presidents views on the inability of the EDFL administration/board.? If your Presidents are satisfied then end of story. The power is ultimately in their hands.

Ok. Time to move on. Some tough games to tip this week.

RP by 10. Biased maybe. Last 3 weeks for TL have not been great. RP had a blip against OP but been better recently and will be desperate for an away win and completely sealing a spot in Div 1. Last week's game was our best of the season so starting to come together well

EK by 20 - Home ground advantage and recent form tip it to EK. WM look comfortable in 4th but would want a win this week to secure finals

Tulla by 80+ - after last week's loss i can't see Tulla dropping another. Too much class

CB just. WC have improved a lot but Cb at home too much to handle

Hey Rox, WC v CB is at shore reserve.

P.S well done on last week, definitely big enough to say I was wrong lol

Good spot. Gee that makes it even tougher to tip. We've got crazyburn in a few wks and don't want to upset Burnerfam Sonia will stay with my tip but Shore Reserve makes it a different proposition.

Don't worry, you weren't the only one not tipping us...

Got a cuple of inside sauces at the Fremantle Dokers. I’m hearing wispers that Nat Fyfe isn’t sad and upset and to come home to Melborn. He’s signing a contract with Oak Park for the 2020 season
That’s ridiclous !! Stiffy
Nayfen fyfe still has a year left on his contract at freo dokers. The rumour is that he will join his home club oak park in 2021. And another rumour regarding oak park is jake milksham is heading back home as well. Youse need to ask him you’reself if youse don’t believe me.
