Whitfield the year after would be more in line with our needs. We’re going to have to replace Simmo and Daisy over the next few seasons, and he’s arguably the best half back/rotational midfielder in the league.

He’s also arguably a better player.

Yepp slightly before my time then unfortunately as the mid 90’s would have been a great time to be a Carlton supporter. I have heard all the legendary stories about Robert Walls but did not know he had a son in football. Best of luck to him but don’t want SOS to leave.

Coupla tidbits I've heard from a contact:

We are keen on Papley and he is keen on us, deal likely gets done

Roos has said he will come to Carlton if Michael Voss is made coach, hence the interest all of a sudden. He's less warm on Teague

Club doesn't think we're a chance at Coniglio and quite frankly isn't interested at the $$ being discussed

Sounds like this will be SOS's last trade/draft period. David Walls mooted as a possible replacement
