What I find staggering is the rulings made included:

-That you can't provide any statements from the victim.

-A strike is a strike and that even if the initial contact was to an arm or shoulder it didn't matter.

Now I know the AFL judiciary don't care much for precedents, but wowsers that seems incredibly inconsistent both retrospectively and potentialy in the future. Are they saying then that any strike that ends up high should result in a week?

The AFL makes ‘fairest’ a moving target, because people in the media ‘dont Want to see him miss out for that..’. Players always lie. Sam Mitchell was elbowed in the back by Stevie J. Stevie J was reported.

Mitchell said there was barely any impact. Stevie J cleared. Mitched missed the next week with "back soreness".
