The absolutely best part is that he still has lot of improvement in him.

You can literally see him getting better each week as he gets more confidence in his body.

The potential ceiling here is ridiculously high.

Yep we're starting to see why he was talked about as a potential pick 1 and SOS even picked him over SPS.

Looks pretty similar to Bont there

and on the field at times

But...but...GWS rejects...
Docherty answered succinctly and brilliantly a question about this on Game Day. Said they got their main guys Marchbank, Plowman, Setterfield (didn't say Kennedy interestingly) and the other guys were about seeing what they had to offer.

Marchbank/Setterfield/Plowman/Kennedy is a fantastic 'GWS rejects' haul. Especially for the price we got them for.

As you said, the others were mostly just fill ins and see what they've got. Pickett the only disappointment we had high hopes for.

The thing about Setters is he's still so raw and in some cases rough, still so much development to go through, yet he's already playing quality game changing football.

Can't wait to see what he has to offer after a few preseasons alongside Cripps, Walsh, Fish, Samo and dare I say Coniglio. A rare and great point of difference to compliment what we already have.

Hard to argue re: Kennedy & Lang weren’t worthy of scepticism. Both were going nowhere six weeks ago.
Great to see them in form and providing depth to our list.
Kennedy in particular as a hit up forward looks very promising. He appears to walk a little taller and have a real confidence about him in the forward line.

Adds a lot of forward pressure at the stoppages as well

Raw and rough will = pure silk.

Big call...

Imagine the GWS with Whitfield on one wing and Setters on the other....

Lucky for us, we got him!

Lachie is an RFA next year.

I'd rather imagine Carlton with Whitfield on one wing and Setters on the other....;)

Are't doing too badly for the GWS reserves (aka Carlton).

Even when he was a little lost early in the season he was a fierce tackler. Such a good trait coupled with clean ball use.

Personally i think his tackling technique is copybook, his our best but have been rapt with the teams improvement over the last 4/6 weeks, it's improved a great deal on particularly earlier in the year...
