With Demons ladder position, it is actually a chance

Do the Dockers get any compensation if he goes to the Demons this way?

Who’s reporting this crap?

Assuming he picks melb, this is assuming Freo and Melb can’t come to an agreement. Their 2nd would get it done pretty fast.

If melb refused to deal and said PSD only, then it would severely burn bridges for future trades etc

Would it? Demons were pretty nice with getting Hogan to the Dockers

With the way Freo fans rate Langdon, would he even go for a 2nd?

EDIT: Reported in the West Australian in the Bell contract extension

Completely refusing to deal for someone reasonably would definitely burn bridges.

Hence why it wouldn’t happen. Can’t just say we want talent but won’t pay for it. Melb wouldn’t do it.

Plus as above, GC would definitely take him.

Most Freo fans rate him higher than a 2nd. His kicking lets him down, but does everything else right. Tackles, runs, accumulates etc

Who on Earth is reporting that? Freo could just trade him to one of the other interested Vic clubs if that were the case, considering Langdon doesn't have specific ties with Melbourne
The Dockers could definitely shop him around before it got that.

Reported in The West Australian during the piece on Bell's extension

Wouldn’t mind seeing an article. Other wise he’s just trolling again as per usual

I wonder at the end of the day that between clubs the pick value is generally guided by what the new club is offering re contract but the pick value with a discount for an un-contracted player. What would clubs be offering Langdon - how much and how long. Crozier is probably a good example to look at.

Rarely happens. Wont happen.
Don't think it will happen either but it possible

Be interesting if he names Demons as a destination end of season and if Dockers try for overs or not

IMO late 2nd

Langdon is very good friends with Weller from Gold Coast. I reckon they'd take punt if he went in the PSD.

But it won't happen, a trade will be sorted. Then I can have a laugh when he butchers the ball for Melbourne instead of crying when he butchers it for us.

Have zero idea why any club would be interested in him. His positives (run, spread, endurance) are completely negated by the fact he simply can't kick.

Do you mean like this?

“We have been undertaking a due diligence process as part of a possible trade to secure Jesse Hogan,” Dockers footy boss Peter Bell said.
“As part of that process, we have had discussions with Jesse, the player’s management and Melbourne.
“While discussions were proceeding it became clear that what Melbourne would be seeking for a trade would not be possible for our club to meet.
“As such, we have informed Melbourne and Jesse’s management that we will not be continuing further with the due diligence process.”
