Actually played well in the second half. Has anyone noticed when we feel the urgency to score quickly we play better?

Feels similar to the Saints game in the end. Blown away in the first half, slow attempt at a come back but not having the scoring power to overcome

We will give Bont the praise but Macrae works just as bloody hard.

Gotta be happy with the effort shown in the last half. We could have easily rolled over.

If Naughton can consistently kick like he did in the 2nd half he will be a 50+ a year goal kicker.

Honourable mention to Schache! Really impressed tonight.

Easton wood and Zaine Cordy are a massive worry against a tall and athletic forward line.

Next week off a 6 day break after a physical contest tonight won’t be easy.

Bailey Smith had a really solid game.

And last but not least. Bont is the best player in the game. An absolute magician.

Lost it in the first half. Bont is the only one who sets up our goals. We have 30 midfielders not many of them have decent foot skills. Libba is done, Lipinsky is getting better, Smith too, just far too many with average skills I’m afraid

Brisbane were better than us.

They are a very good side.

It was a good effort by us today, I didn’t think we played badly, but our kicking going inside 50 and kicking for goal as usual was not up to it.

Disappointing loss but we can hold our heads high today, the game ultimately shows we’re we’ve been at all year.

Still think we’re going to be a very good team in a year or two.

Yep another game that was winnable at different stages. Shot ourselves in the foot a couple of times early on, then again in the middle and also towards the end..so throughout the game really.
But, credit where it is due, the Lions deserve to be where they are.

Didn’t expect to win, but it shows we aren’t that far off the mark. We have plenty of cap space & draft picks to trade for quality talent. KPF, KPF & a small forward needed, we are stacked for mids

So common for us to play like absolute trash and still come close. Why do we not learn from our mistakes? Bont was incredible as he often is when we're fighting back in games like this but 3 or 4 acceptable performances out of 22 is never going to be good enough whether we're playing 1st place or 18th. This season can't end soon enough, we have dead WOOD to cut and a lot of salary cap to spend on strengthening our weaknesses.

Season over, I won't be entertaining any more slight glimmers of hope. Onto the next.
