If West Coast win the 2019 premiership are they superior to Brisbane 2001-2003 and Hawthorn 2013-2015?

Every time West Coast plays a final at their home ground, where they enjoy a larger advantage than Hawthorn do at the G, their streak counts for one flag less than Hawthorn's or Brisbane's. QF and PF last year were at home for them, so this current West Coast team sits at -1 premiership (if we don't count the finals they had at home before 2018), meaning they would have to go back to back just to square up with all the perennial loser teams (like Geelong)

Still no. If HGA was all that mattered Pies would have beat the Lions twice, bombers would have gone B2B, Hawks would have won 4in a row instead of losing 2012 to Sydney.

Home teams would always win finals etc etc.

Lions might have had some concessions when they won but they still had to win the games, other clubs have had concessions and never tasted success during that period.

WC did all right with their early concessions, do you discount Or devalue your 92 and 94 flags because you had an advantage over most teams at the time with your list?

Firstly in answer to the question, an emphatic no. Three always better than two. Both those squads deserve their kudos. If the Eagles had won 93 then it would be an interesting discussion, but they weren’t good enough.
Despite the Victorian bleating, it is harder for non-Victorian teams to win grand finals against a Victorian opponent given they are played in their home state, if not their home ground.
Finally, you need to do your research on the early Eagles years. They were given no favours and certainly not in player selection, so the 92 and 94 teams are rightly admired.

Now let me start this by saying IF West Coast win the flag this year then this question should be asked.

West Coast don't have either salary cap concessions like Brisbane 01-03 and the home ground factor Hawthorn had in 13-15.

If West Coast were to win the flag this year should they be rated ahead of Brisbane 01-03 and Hawthorn 13-15?
Play off in 4 straight GF’s then we can talk.

LOL

West Coast have a MASSIVE home ground advantage when they finish in the Top 4 and play 2 home finals
You can virtually bet the house on them reaching the Grand Final when they host a Prelim Final

Hawthorn by contrast finished on top of the ladder and had no home ground advantage at all when they met Geelong and Collingwood in lead up finals.
They also had to travel to Perth twice in 3 weeks during the 2015 finals and beat the top team, Freo in the Prelim Final with 40,000 Freo ferals screaming abuse and threatening physical violence against a few of our players who went too close to the fence. Crazy scenes.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

If people on Big Footy are going to continue to trot out this "home ground advantage" bullshiit to demean Hawthorn's Grand Final victories, they may as well just leave us Hawks out of these discussions altogether. We can't win. So what's the point? We win the fricken flag, but it doesn't count. 😆

Don't bother to include the Hawks in your OP & Thread title. Compare your Eagles to the past Lions, Swans and Crows premiership teams and leave us Hawks out of your silly discussion.

Yeeeeh, da Eegles are de bestest eva better than da Lionz coz da salary cap :drunk: :drunk: :drunk:

MCG is Richmond's home ground the same as Hawthorn's
Would you kindly tell the bellends at the fixturing department that please? Once a year they tend to forget and we play a home game at indoor concrete stadium or whatever the * it's called this year.

West Coast could become the only club to cleansheet 3peat Geelong in Grand Finals (Collingwood & Hawthorn have also done it twice, but lost to Geelong as well)

Brisbane/Fitzroy beat Richmond in their most recent Grand Final (1944)

West Coast H2H
26-25 Geelong
26-17 Richmond
35-13 Brisbane Bears/Lions

Brisbane were also playing ‘away’ games at the Gabba against Melbourne every year in 01-03...so they actually had 12 home games and only 10 away!

3 of North's 7 interstate games in 1999 were against St Kilda, Geelong & WCE at the SCG (their North Sydney "Kangaroos" phase)

Their only 4 games that season in which they were emphatically the away side were 2x Sydney (at a ground they played at 3 more times as home team), 2nd last Freo & 4th last Adelaide.

Conceded scores of 141, 141, 150 & 158 during the year...

And then they got Carlton in the Grand Final...
