Why are you on BigFooty while you're at the casino? Is it that boring there?
Aren’t all casinos called a CAS?
Ohhh, I get it! It's not the Court of Arbitration for Sport (known colloquially as CAS)where you are arguing the case for why we shouldn't take Jesse Hogan back, you are at the Casino and have obviously lost all your money, or why else are you on BigFooty?

Mans gotta take a s**t lads

How in the fu** is it the least of our issues
How the * is it the least of our issues?
1. We play a total inside ball game with no ability to spread
2. We are slow
3. Our skills are VFL standard
4. Our work rate is B grade
5. Our players are perennially injured hence the appointment of a new fitness head

I kind of think addressing those things would be a better priority than picking up a gun crumbing forward right now. I get it, they’re useful, but not as useful as the 5 things I mentioned.

Watching the footage for all the goals of both sides it proves how vital ground balls inside 50m are, not only can they lead to goals but also keeping the ball inside 50 - forward half territory is very important in this modern game. Secondly i found more often the person who gets his hands on the ball inside 50m from a ground often sets up the shot on goal for a team mate rather thank taking a direct shot himself.

So are concluding Hunt can’t do any of these things? Or Melksham or Petracca?

Trac is number for inside 50 ground balls, but how this translates into scores is above my pay rate.

Melksham historically is elite with kick retention inside 50.

Watching the footage hunt is reasonable with his kicks inside 50 particularly in space on a fast break. His scoring patterns would suggest he doesn’t win ground balls and kick goals himself.

I am just not sure with the crop we have why we need a designated crumber when we have a plethora of mid sized players that should be able to get to the ball drop. My issue is that the initiative isn’t there for our forwards to do it.

Yeah a skill full crumber solves a couple of those issues, or rather helps us to work on them.

Out biggest issues isn't spread that's coaching. However scoring from inside 50 ground balls is. Gun crumbers fix that regardless of coaching

Our issue is kicking goals this year full stop, whether that be from marks inside 50, general play etc We may have a plethora of mid sized players but non aside from Petracca have been good at winning the footy inside 50. Even last year crumbing in the traditional sense inside 50 last year was an issue. For mine the biggest impact of not winning ground balls inside 50m this year has not been the affect on our scoring but the rebounds from 50m to the other end that allows teams to score. With the forward half press retaining the ball inside 50m is the first point of defence.

100000%
Richmonds defence is built on Rance and now Grimes having time to set up thanks to their smalls pressure up field.

WC can kick the ball to Kennedy and Darling ugly and Rioli and Ryan still create goals.

Plus the small forwards get up into the midfield and work back inside 50 thus helping with the out side run.

demondavey has missed the mark here

Ok, fine. Points taken. I’d still like to see those points I mentioned addressed. Have we given up on Spargo?

The points you raise are still valid, its not like kicking goals from ground balls inside 50 will solve all of our problems.

That would depend on the size of the beers. When I lived in Austria, they were serving beers of 2 litres in many pubs.

What's the ambient temperature? Or do you just learn to love warm beer?

The jury’s out. Next year is huge for him. My concerns are his physique, lack of pace and no real penetration in his kicking. I’m not necessarily giving up but I wouldn’t pin my hopes on him either. JKH looked better at the same stage of his career.
