When the senior team is as injured as it is, it’s obviously going to be a drain on the magoos eventually too. Hardly surprising they too have begun to struggle.

One day people will realise that in elite competition there is only so many times you can go to the well.
There is only so much a game plan, and all the want to try in the world can do. If you are physically cooked and don't have the cattle on the park you are going to be destroyed.
One day people will realise that and stop with sacking calls, the calls of soft and weak, the thinking that if they would just try as hard as our supporters care we would win.

Here's a little test for anyone on here that thinks it's all mental.
Do as many pushups as you can, go to failure.
Now once you can't do any more. Start counting and do 15.

Is it a coincidence that our 3 thrashings in the second half of the year (WCE, Port and Dogs) coincided with Saad being injured or being tagged out of the game?

If he has no influence on the game, then we seem to be unable to move the ball with any coherence or defend with coherence. Do we rely on him that much?

On Stringer, I don't get the hate towards him on your board when he was sacked by Footscray. It would make sense had he walked.

The ol’ “never as good or never as bad as it seems” chestnut is fairly apt in the context of our last month.
Either way you slice it we’re in the eight with two games left and we’ve got a truckload of injuries. Pretty much par for the course I’d say.

Possibly the most modern Essendon thing to do, after so much effort with 5 wins ground out, is to lose by 60+ and 100+ to teams below us when the pinch is on for finals. Esp to clubs wanting our spot.
